Very large sites. The lake was down but the view was still beautiful. The restrooms were clean with plenty of hot water. Perfect location to visit San Antonio and Austin

This is a BEAUTIFUL Army Corps of Engineers campground on Canyon Lake in Texas. The park is super clean and the campsites are mostly level! It is safe and gated with plenty of walking trails and wildlife! The lake is SUPER low so none of the campsites are "waterfront" even though on the map it looks like they are, but because of the low water level there is PLENTY to explore!

has water and electric hookups for rv and regular use. we really enjoyed our time here. Very peace at night. was windy enough to keep us cool throughtout the night. we saw some deer and foxes on our stay here. There are alot of flies so have something like a fan or a screen mesh to keep them away.

The nicest hosts we have ever met. They are very informative also. The campground is clean and well maintained. Each spot has a nice covered picnic table, fire ring and BBQ. Dog friendly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars in because the bathrooms are not lit very well at all and there was a new scorpion in there each time we went to the bathroom, they were just harder to find in the dark. other than that i would highly recommend.

This campground is nice with water and electric hookups, but this place severely needs help! All the wood in the park is rotten(doors, picnic tables, landscaping timbers, etc) and needs maintenance. What I don't get is only half the campground is open and half of the people staying here are getting a free campsite for volunteering 12 hours a week(what I was told by a volunteer). I never seen one person doing any maintenance the week I was here?? Lots of potential at this place but just seems like it's slowly rotting away. I would've stayed longer but recreation.gov says nothings available but there's dozens of sites sitting empty??

We had such a great time here. It is a mix of RVs and tents, mostly RVs. Each spot has electricity, water, a grill, a covered picnic table and fire ring. The bathrooms were very nice and clean with showers too. Even being in close proximity to everyone else, everyone was super respectful and pretty quiet. We stayed a little further away from the lake and we had great shade. Spots closer to the lake have no shade at all. This feels like it little hidden gem and I can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed our time at Potters Creek. We appreciated the covered picnic table. There was a beach area that had a safe place to swim. A boat ramp if you wanted to launch a boat. Bathrooms and showers were available in each camping area. They even had screened in shelters for rent if you didn’t want to use a tent. There weren’t any trails, but everyone was polite and safe when people walked the pavements. I wish there was a leash-free area. So many people had dogs which was great to see, but it would have been great to let the dogs explore or swim without a leash.
