What a great CG. Super friendly people. Level concrete pads for all vehicle types. Water & power even at the awesome walk in tent sites. Bathrooms were clean & there are 2 showers per side as well. Many of the sites are on the water with great views from the picnic table. We did notice lots of poison ivy/oak/something climbing & surrounding many of the trees! We camped one night in site #40 which was quiet, at the end of the road & beside the walk in camper parking. Two tall lights stay on all night there but otherwise it was a great spot. You're close to your neighbors but there are tons of trees & it feels secluded.

Its a great place to camp and watch the wild life. You can fish from a boat or the bank or just walk around looking at different things. It's a great place to just relax.

The Campground Attendants are absolutely amazing!! The view is also amazing!! Saw my first gator but he was swimming in the middle as if not to get too close to the crazy humans lol. My fur babies absolutely love it there. Thanks for making our stays so enjoyable.

My husband and I came here for a weekend getaway to fish and relax. We were early in the year so we didn't have much luck fishing. We did catch 2 small alligators so be aware that they are there. The campgrounds are beautiful! The bath houses were relatively clean. They had a free use washer and dryer. A cleaning station for fish. A boat ramp. All sites have power and water. The staff was super friendly. It was around $50 for us to tent camp for 2 nights. We will definitely be back.

This is another of the COE's fantastic campgrounds right on the Alabama River for $13/night with America the Beautiful Pass. Spots were shaded with nice separation. Our site was a long concrete driveway with 30A and water. Dump station can take two vehicles at once, one from each direction. The check in staff were friendly and very helpful with directions and other information. We stayed at the end of December and had several rainy days in a row. Then we had a steady stream of sugar ants invading the rig! The numerous ant mounds everywhere should have been a clue! We learned from the locals that you have to spray insecticide on anything that touches the ground or trees including tires, hoses, lines. Three weeks later and we're still cleaning them up. We did the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail as well as the Tuskegee Institute and Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Sites .

Very nicely maintained campground! Bathrooms are clean with good water heat and pressure. Nearly every site has a view of the water. Very dark and quiet at night. Close to hunting and fishing opportunities. Definitely recommend!

Well maintained campground. Most sites are long, spacious with water views. Has 2 playgrounds, although they are kind of old and dingy but they seemed safe. Views of the Alabama river were awesome. Tons of wildlife viewing, with lots egrets and blue herons. Selma is a short drive away and had everything you could need. I loved how flat and spacious the campground was, it made for great bike riding. Beware if it's hunting season, there is a lot of hunting going on nearby and many people use the campground as a hunting camp. I had to shield my kids from watching a neighboring camper clean a deer. It is Alabama during hunting season. Only real con for me was there wasn't much to do there, no hiking trail. Verizon signal was great in the main peninsula part of the campground, the cove part of the campground didn't really get signal. They do have coin laundry facilities and bathrooms were nice.
