The campground was really nice. We were there on the weekend that they had the Halloween decorating contest. We ran to the store and bought a bunch of stuff to decorate, only for them not to do the contest. We asked about it and they said they would post the winner on their page the next day. They did not post it so I called and the gentleman said he would find out and get back to me well that has been 2 weeks. Such a bummer.

I've been to Prairie Island three times this years because it's such a great location -- easy bike ride into town, short distance from the bluff to climb and right on the river to fish or borrow at boat. My third trip I was totally disorganized and thought I forgot tent poles -- the owners had a spare tent they offered up. Then I left my phone behind and they mailed it back to me. Can say enough good things about how this place is managed, maintained and how under-rated Winona area is for family outdoor adventures.

THIS PLACE IS A GEM!!! We camp a lot and I can say without hesitation this is one of the best, and most friendly, campgrounds we’ve stayed at. They have family friendly activities on the weekends like movie night, food trucks and live music. There are also lots of activity opportunities like canoeing/Kayaking, disc golf etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to give you lots of ideas about where to visit in Winona. My wife and I had an excellent time!

Very nice campground. Easy access and big sites. I was there on a week day, just a few other campers, but if it were busy I can see a need for maybe an extra potty or two in the tent area. Otherwise I love the fact that they promote recycling, and the main shower/bathroom is a plus. Very peaceful area.

We had a fantastic stay at Prairie Island RV Park! The views were absolutely stunning — peaceful, scenic, and a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The entire park was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the check-in/check-out process couldn’t have been easier. Everything was smooth and efficient from start to finish. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful RV park with great service and a laid-back vibe, Prairie Island is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be back!
