I've been going here for 4 years now. Sometimes there's water, which is nice to cool off in. There are tons of trees even when there is no rain for relife from the sun. Usually, quite. Did have one guy try to bully me out of my camping spot, probably cause I was a single woman with children, but stood my ground and still love it here. This is patrolled often as well, which makes me feel safer.

Be a great little campground if it were open more often. In 2025 it will only be open for Memorial Day weekend, The Fourth of July, and Labor Day Weekend. What's the point of maintaining a Campground if it is only open 10 days a year?

It's been roughly 11 year's since I have been coming to Prescott national forest.. love this place.. relax camp hike barbecue in the night of the fire and a lot of paperwork to peacefully go over..

This is a great little campground with nearby hiking and Goldwater Lake close by. There's no water, but there are pit toilets and a dumpster. My dogs loved hiking to the Hasayampa River and back. Check out All Trails to see how to get there.

Nice little out of the way campground. A few mosquitoes in the late afternoon and evening. I would suggest taking the route from Prescott NOT thru Ponderosa Park/Iron Springs road it is 6 miles of rocky bumpy road. The other way is paved most of the way and the rest is easy driving. No water here do pack your own.

Excellent site, clean pit toilet and easy to get to. Had a great time staying there but there was a large group that kept a party going until 2am which I didn't enjoy. The bugs are terrible in summer but the little creek was great for the kids.
