What the heck Saskatchewan?! This place is so cool!! I have been lucky enough to trek up here a few times this year. Cross country skiing in the area is fabulous, but the best part is the canoeing/kayaking in summer. Endless adventures on the lakes in the park. Excellent and well maintained back country camping. The wildlife I've encountered are otters, bears, and elk. Wear a bug suit in the summer 😬.

Flat national park with a dense and tall forest. Instead of mountains there are wooden towers that you climb to get above the canopy. The views are breath-taking. Beaches, boardwalks and lots of animals (all photos were taken from the safety of the inside of a car). If you come in June, bring lots of bug spray.

Prince Albert National Park is a wonderful park for hiking and outdoor activities. The trails are well-maintained and offer a variety of difficulty levels, making it accessible for everyone from beginners to experienced hikers. It's a perfect escape into nature. Highly recommend! ⛰️

Lovely park in the boreal forest. Plenty of hiking trails, good fishing, great boating, canoeing and kayaking opportunities. Not inexpensive to stay in the park’s hotels and cabins.

Lovely spot away from the busier spots in PA National Park.

Always beautiful…no matter what season!

Nice looking lake . Smaller campground no power and no water, but if that works for you it seems nice

We love to go there and kayak. The water is so clear and warm and the shoreline so beautiful. I love that people bring their dogs and are careful to clean up after them. Makes it a wonderful place for my little guy to socialize a bit too and I know that he's welcome there.

This campground is small and was full or trailers and RV’s, only a small area where you can hope to find space to tent. The great thing about this place is that it is small and you can't prebook. Instead you show up, set up camp, and go to the entrance to pay once you have found a spot. The facilities are a few outhouses, fire pit and picnic tables in each campsite, and a nice beach. The location is great for driving up to Waskesiu Lake for the day and taking in the town. The beach is a bit rocky and dirty, but the water is warm and the swimming area is a good size.

Being from New Brunswick and living in Saskatoon, it feels like this is the closest reasonable place to spend some time in a forest. There are lots of places to hike, camp, or go out on the water. I have done front and back country camping in the area and always enjoy the peace and relaxation I am afforded. We really enjoy packing a lunch to cook in one of the many shelters in Waskesiu. On our visits up here we have seen lots of different wildlife: moose, deer, chipmunks, and various fish and birds. Bug spray is highly recommended!
