Great campground, only thing it lacks is shade in the summer!!

TL;DR Beautiful park, friendly staff, clean restrooms. The park is just far enough from big cities to have beautiful starry nights on cloudless nights. The CoE has done good job maintaining this property.

I had a beautiful site with lots of shade and a wonderful view of the lake. Betty at the front gate was so nice and helpful! We truly enjoyed our visit!

I love this place! This place has volunteers who help keep campgrounds clean, bathroom & shower rooms clean & manage checking people in. Gated campground, after certain time, check in is done the next day. I loved our camping spot. No ants, lots of grass, good parking spot, covered picnic area with spot, fire ring. They need to figure out how to get rid of the spiders. They were in the bathrooms and showers at night and there was a lot. It's my only complaint. The staff who volunteer are so nice too! My family had the best time ever outside of the spiders! Love how it's a great place for your animals too.

Arrived in the evening, had made a same day reservation online and the park had plenty of open spots. There was a notice up about the lake water being down so I'm sure that is the only reason this great campground wasn't full. I took some photos of the empty spots in the circle we were in, some have excellent shade and others none at all. #21 ended up being a great pick, with several wonderful trees for shade. We didn't explore too much because of our personal time constraints but on entry, the road to the left leads to the attendants which we never actually met. It was very nice to be at a campground and not harassed by a camp-host constantly walking around but at the same time it felt a little awkward not having a personalized check-in. My family and I hope to camp here again!

The only downside to this campsite is the very limited number of full sewer hookup sites. Otherwise the sites are nice, and the people are generally friendly.

COE campgrounds are the best! Right on the lake, beautiful view, quiet and can't beat the price! $13 per day (with senior pass) with full hookups

Very friendly check-in, nice fairly level spots. Beautiful view of the water.
