Prune Creek Campground

Beautiful campground! It was quiet, beautifully laid out with easily walkable roads, a path along the creek, and well kept grounds. Also, yes it has vault toilets but these are legit the cleanest vault toilets I have ever seen. They didn’t even smell and were cleaner and better smelling than most flushable campground toilets. We didn’t have cell service (T-Mobile) but that’s understandable.

Nice quiet campground at 8000ft. Private sites with creek at most sites. Saw 2 moose in campground. Water hand pump and pit toilets. Water and dump station 3 miles west provided by forest service at n/c (donation).

Great basecamp to explore the BigHorns. Clean bathrooms, friendly hosts. Enjoyed all the humming birds around the camp. Had moose browsing nearby while having breakfast every morning. Just a beautiful area.

This is a nice campground in the Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming. We enjoyed it, but felt the campground hosts were not up to snuff as in other campgrounds where we stayed in that National Forest.

Awesome campground! We went fishing, saw moose but unfortunately no bear. Friendly campground host and the cleanest pit bathrooms I've ever been to. We'll be back!

Truth is, I'd like to give my favorite place in the West a really poor rating just to keep the people away, but Prune Creek is our home [very far] away from home. A little slice of heaven where you can spend your days driving and hiking peaks, and your nights being swallowed up by endless stars while you listen to the creek tumble and trip all over itself. Dine with moose who invite themselves to breakfast and dinner both.

One of our favorite CG on mtn. Developed with central water, pit toilets, tables and fire-rings; no HU. Lots of moose and wildlife to enjoy. Several sites for 40'+. Just off hwy so a bit of road noise. NO cell service for 15+ miles in these mountains .. good or bad depends on your perspective. Lucy moosy and Daffy calfy kept us corralled for 3 days!
