Pueblo KOA

This KOA was perfect for our family. We had a playground right next to our cabin and we ordered pizza at the office and they delivered it to our cabin. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was equipped with everything we needed for the night. Shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, bedding, towels, and EVEN COFFEE!!! Oh and they even had a TV🤯 We love KOA's and this one is right off the highway (not much noise though) convenient location for long distance car travels. We will stay here again.

All staff very helpful and friendly. Restrooms and laundry room extra clean. Entire campground cleaned daily. Site plenty long, but not much room between sites. 2 playgrounds and swimming pool. Dog park all dirt and a little out of the way. Trash picked up at your site.

We were so excited to spend Fourth of July weekend camping here. My husband finally got a break from active duty in the military, so we planned a camping trip together, but unfortunately it ended up being a huge disappointment. Before we even arrived, we had issues with communication. We never received our confirmation email and had to call twice just to get it resent. My husband even spelled out his email address letter by letter over the phone two different times, yet we still never received the confirmation. It wasn’t a great start to our trip. When we arrived, we were surprised by how small the campground was. The “basketball court” is tiny and could realistically only fit a few people at a time. There are no nearby fishing areas, and the campground is located in the middle of the desert right off the freeway, so it doesn’t have the peaceful camping atmosphere we were expecting. There were several things we wish had been communicated before our arrival. The cabin we rented did not include pillows or bed linens, yet we were never informed of that when we made the reservation or when we called to confirm it. Walking into a cabin with three bare beds after a long drive was incredibly frustrating. The shower situation was also unexpected. Showers are limited to seven minutes because the campground’s water is supplied from an outside storage container. The camp store only accepts cards for purchases over $10, so be sure to bring cash if you only need a few small items. The biggest disappointment was learning that fire restrictions were in place, meaning no campfires or cooking over a fire. We understand that fire restrictions are outside the campground’s control, especially in a dry area, but guests should absolutely notify guests before they arrive. Had we known, we could have packed differently or chosen another campground instead of wasting time and gas. Ultimately, we didn’t even stay the night. Between arriving to a cabin with no pillows or sheets, not being able to have a campfire or cook, and the overall disappointment of the campground itself, we packed up and left that same evening. There was no way we were going to sleep comfortably, and the experience was nothing like what we had expected. If you’re traveling across the country and just need a place to spend the night, this campground may work for you. However, if you’re looking for a traditional camping experience, especially with children, I would not recommend it. There is very little for kids to do, and overall it felt more like a truck stop than a campground. By far, this is the worst campground I have ever stayed at. Between the poor communication, lack of basic information before arrival, disappointing amenities, and overall experience, we left wishing we had booked somewhere else.

In the past 10 days I have stayed at 9 different campgrounds. This campground is one of the best of not the best. 1. Staff are helpful as with most campgrounds. 2. Campgrounds are meat and tidy. 3. Restroom facilities are the best that I have every seen in a campground, as well as clean. 4. Very, very good Wi Fi, the best I have been to after driving all day you just want to grab a bite sit back relax and watch a movie. I usually don't post reviews but there owners should be proud of what they have accomplished. To the owners: Don't stop looking for and making improvements, don't sit on your lorals and you will succeed greatly.

We've frequently stayed at this KOA for almost 10 years, & we've been just as pleased every time. From the exceptional service upon arrival, to the staff escorting us to our well groomed site & picking up & disposing our trash from our site, along with picking up, filling & returning our propane tanks, to the pizza & wings they deliver. Oh, & the new restrooms always seem to be cleaned & ready to enjoy. We will be back! Thank you to all the staff for making our time there enjoyable.

The Pueblo KOA has a very friendly and accommodating staff. The location is a good place to stay for seeing the sights of Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods and other sights around the Colorado Springs area without the traffic and congestion of the city. Nicely located of highway 25.

We really enjoyed our stay! The place is super clean - bathrooms and showers were spotless. Hook-ups worked great. The staff - husband and wife team- are awesome! So friendly and helpful! The turn coming in off I25 south was a little tight - but not a huge deal in our 20 foot trailer. Next time we roll though Pueblo we will definitely stay again!

They were very accommodating the minute we pulled up. They recognized the people in the spot next to where we were supposed to park were a little spread out so they moved us to a shadier spot. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. Pizza was good and the pool was nice for the kids

Pueblo has a great feel from the moment you arrive. The staff is super friendly. The store is stocked with the basics. They offer fresh pizza to be delivered to your site. They escort you to the site, which was nice and roomy. Plenty of room to play with the dogs and they have ice cream! There is a bit of road noise. The views are nice and the place feels welcoming. Wish we could have stayed another night!

We stayed here at this KOA one night on our way to our vacation destination that night we stayed at a tent site. And on our way back we stayed here again for the night which we stayed in the Cabin. We really loved this Koa it’s really nice the bathrooms are really spacious, the pool is really nice, the staff is really kind and helpful. We liked our cabin it had a microwave, fridge, and TV which was great. The only thing I didn’t like about the cabin was the A/C unit was in the corner away from the beds which was hard to cool us down especially in the hot summer days. But we loved it here and would definitely recommend to others.

Entrance was difficult because it was narrow and UPS truck blocked the signage. Only two vehicle width. Tunnel getting to and from interstate is VERY narrow and about 11'3". There is supposedly another entrance but the frontage road we used closed at the entrance turnoff. Staff was pleasant, guides and clerks. Cabins looked nice from the outside. Special sites had tall wood fences for privacy. Tent camps had grills. Store wasn't very well stocked. No diet coke and salad wasn't available because lettuce froze. Pool and common area aren't open now. There are play areas. Dog park was decent but a long walk for people who can't walk well. Soil was clumped so finding poop was hard if you weren't watching closely. Big area was nice for dog to run or play catch. Poop stations were available throughout the park.

Worst place to stay. The noise from I-25 is so loud. The cabins need weather sealed around the doors. The people that work there are not very friendly. There is nothing for kids to do there. Definitely would not recommend this KOA to families.

Always friendly. Very quiet very clean. This is our third year coming back. They’ve updated the bathrooms. They are amazing. Can’t wait to come back next year. Our fourth year here and it has been the worst they put us in a cabin that had a bunk above the queen like why it was very uncomfortable. The showers are not as clean the water and your lobby smelled like a pound.

This is a nice campground. Everything is clean and well maintained, and the staff are all very pleasant and helpful. But…I don’t know that we have ever been to an RV park that was in any worse of a place. First of all, you just have to be very determined to get here, especially if you have any kind of a big rig and then when you do get here you will wonder why you didn’t just pull off and park on the side of the highway other than the fact that you have electricity and water. The road noise is deafening and then there are the trains…. My recommendation if you are trying to get here off the interstate from either direction and are of any size at all (and that means bigger than a VW beetle) is to get on Highway 50 and go to north Purcell Blvd and follow it back to the interstate and once you get there be very careful not to pass the road that goes to the park, it is the first left, the second one puts you on the interstate exit ramp going the wrong way, it’s a very long way to get there but will prove to be worth it and save a lot of frustration and possible damage to your rig (once you get there you will understand what I’m talking about).

Extremely welcoming camp ground, the staff might be the friendliest iv ever had to pleasure of dealing with. The owners cool too you see him around from time to time fixing things. Large dog park and in a great area no worries about random people walking through. Beautiful scenery if you enjoy mountains in the background. They also have a small shop with drinks and stuff, you can get pizza ordered and delivered to your camping spot good stuff too 👍
