We camped in a 5th wheel. The campground was clean. The folks in the office super helpful and friendly. The two bath houses were sufficient for anything you needed however, I did not use them. One in our group did and felt like everything was adequate. A beautiful river flowing through. Tons of walking and biking paths. And lots to do in town. My only complaint is the noise off Highway 52, but not much they can do about that!

We stayed at a tent spot. We felt the tent spots were awkwardly located. You can't park right your vehicle right at most tent spots so be prepared to carry your gear some distance to setup camp. Our spot was immediately behind an RV. Very nice shower house and playground for kids.

We love this campground and come annually. It's a great middle point from iowa city to Minneapolis. The bathrooms and showers are nice and well maintained. The tent sites are a good size. The parking is ample.

We would give 10 stars if we could, just can’t say enough good things about this place. We intended to stay one night on our way to Minnesota, but ended up staying three nights just like the office personnel thought we would. Ha ha He was soooo right! 🙂 Close to all things outdoors in Decorah, kayaking, fishing, tubing, hiking, and biking. The bike trails (@13 miles of trails with switch backs, also mountain bike trails) lead right to the campground, a beautiful trout stream runs through the property and the Upper Iowa River flows right next to it. Clean showers and bathroom facilities. Easy walk or bike ride to downtown restaurants and shops. Pulpit Rock is just around the corner, and Dunning Falls is an easy bike ride down the road. Staff is exceptional! They will take you to the drop site for tubing/kayaking down the river. They go above and beyond…offered extra amenities too numerous to list. We will be back!! Thank you for a great stay!!

This campground is honestly a hidden gem. It’s in a beautiful area, there is so much hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and exploring to be had. The campground amenities include a sand volleyball court, basketball court, playgrounds, and bicycles available for campers to take for a ride at their leisure. It’s very popular with the locals and books up fast. There is ice, firewood, and snacks available for sale on site. Lovely place with lovely people and we can’t wait to go back.
