We stayed here in the last week of July 2025. The camp host was absolutely wonderful in all aspects of her job. The bathroom were always clean and supplied. The campground was clean. The weather was perfect. I would highly recommend this campground. We tipped our camp host for a job well done. Thank you Alana .đź’•

We booked two nights at this campground after arriving by ferry from Bella Coola. We received a very friendly welcome. The sites are beautifully located in the middle of the forest. Our site had electricity and water hookups. There is a Suni dump station at the entrance. The restroom and washrooms were clean and working. We liked the site.

This is the second year in a row we’ve stayed at the Quatse CG. Last year we’d booked our site expecting (as their site said) a restroom and showers. When we got there we discovered the showers were out of commission and had been that way for some time. We spoke to the folks at the Regional Office and we told that the campground had been going through some transition but work was being done to restore and upgrade facilities. So this year when we booked we again checked the regional district website and saw they advertised “Hot Showers, Flush Washrooms, and Laundry Services”. But upon arrival found that nothing was working and, according to staff on site hadn’t been working for a long time and there’s no indication it will be fixed anytime soon. The “closed” flush washroom had one of the doors kicked in and the toilet was overflowing and the portable toilets desperately needing cleaning. I guess if we had been travelling in a fully contained unit we’d have had a different experience. The location is good, it’s convenient and the site could be really great with some basic maintenance. But it feels very deceptive to advertise services as available when they clearly are not. Regional District of Mount Waddington please do better

Absolutely deplorable. No bathrooms, and no showers. The “caretaker” was barely there half the time and had a “off mowing lawns” sign up but a quick walk around, and the back lots have clearly been forgotten about. Surprised you can even live with yourselves charging 20$ a night for a place with no facilities OR power to the lot and I sure am glad I didn’t spend more just for power. Very quiet, great location, next to the hatchery which is also super cool to check out if you have the chance and the people that work over there are extremely nice! (I’ll be reviewing there too) Too bad my stay was ruined by porta potties and an inability to shower.

Very private, well treed campground! It’s beautiful and if we are out near Port Hardy again I would definitely stay here again. We had our travel trailer with us and chose a 30amp with water spot from their website. If you are camping in a tent or don’t have your own shower just know that the showers and laundry are closed and not working. They do have porta potty’s (even a handicap one) though. The caretaker was very friendly.

Beautiful location close to all the amenities in town and beauty of the northern tip! Really cool Plane crash hike 10 minutes away & about an hour and a half from San Josef! Patrick & Candy the managers are incredible and have some super cool traveling stories! Highly recommend stopping in for a night or two!

Beautiful little spot where we stopped to walk the path.

Great site to bring the family, right on the river and near the famous Quatse Loop walking path.

Great little site. Decently priced - about par for other sites this trip. A little off the main route into Port Hardy, the site is nestled into trees. Site are well grassed, and are actually separated by tall hedges, so it provided excellent visual privacy. Roads/trails seem to be decently maintained (no potholes, not dusty). Showers and Laundry are provided in the main building (and I believe water access as well) - although we were doing a "sleep and run" stop, having to be at the Ferry for 5:30 to Prince Rupert, so I didn't avail myself of either. Very friendly manager, both on the phone doing the reservation, and in person. Some road noise, and some aircraft noise, in the night - but not a great deal. Campsite was pretty active at 5am as it was clear a number of us were heading for the morning ferry - but people were at least trying to be considerate of the other campers not up at that hour; no one was being any louder than needed. All in all, one of the more pleasant sites we stayed at, this trip.
