Been going to R Ranch for years with family. It's a great place. Very relaxing. Dahlonega is a great town. There is an ownership issue - but this has been ongoing for years. We keep hoping the board and leadership will arrive at a sensible policy - because it is such a great, relaxing getaway. Plenty of hiking, there are horses for the trails, a lodge for gatherings, swimming, playgrounds for kids, and the staff are wonderful. It's a safe place to let your kids wander and explore.

We’ve been members for several years. It’s our home away from home! We love the ranch. Beautiful grounds, trails, small disc golf course, great pool, horseback riding, and great people! Fun events open to the public and a beautiful event/wedding venue.

Enjoyed our short time as owners. Views were incredible, sites were spacious and clean, and pool was awesome. Unfortunately, we are forever busy and didn’t visit as often as we’d like. We felt the annual dues, which kept increasing with time, were too expensive for us for only a couple of weekends a year.

This R-Ranch is amazing. It has a little of everything there. Nice cabins,horseback riding,swimming pool,nature walks with lots of animals,close to shops,and restaurants.its very peaceful and beautiful. an amazing getaway. This is a hidden gem. I definitely will be going back.

Wonderful place to relax, to enjoy the outdoors and the ranch setting up in the foothills. Our family has enjoyed staying in the cabins, cooling off in the pool on a hot afternoon, and sitting around the campfire star gazing at night.

Horrible experience. DO NOT STAY IN THEIR CABINS. While they are cheap you get what you pay for. First off they are out outdated and were not clean upon arrival. Their floors were dirty and made the bottom of my feet black not even after 3 hours of being barefoot in the cabin. This cabin is bare bones. The beds are old and uncomfortable. You can feel the springs in your back. The sheets and blankets were thin and barely had any extra blankets that could actually keep you warm. Upon leaving the cabin at 11 am and dropping the keys off in the drop box, before check out at 12pm, they charged us a $200 fine. They stated we left the room in unacceptable conditions, as if we threw a rager. They said “the boys” which leads me to believe they were singling out a group of young guys, even though there were women there as well. They were not clear with their check out instructions. They charged us this fine for not taking out the trash, leaving two spots on the counter that would take two seconds to wipe with a chlorox wipe, then a water stain on the sheet, and leaving two plates and three cups unwashed in the sink. Most deep cleaning costs $250-300. And they wanted to charge us $200 for a very small clean up. And the day before they were complaining about how they were going to fire their cleaning crew because they had been overcharging for the smallest of clean ups. So they tried to put their inability to hire a good cleaning company off on us. And when we tried to dispute it the lady we first dealt with she was incredibly rude. This was such a bad experience given we had a nice time at the wedding venue the day before. Make sure you take pictures of your cabin before you leave because the pictures they returned of the stained sheets did not even look like our cabin.
