The Modern Cabins were really nice. The best part? Not having to walk to the dishwashing station, showers and bathroom. I stayed at Cabin 9, which is sandwiches between two other cabins. Some of the other cabins. Especially cabin 6, are farther away from each other. I had quite neighbors for the first part of the week and no neighbors the rest of the time. I didn't hear as many planes as some of the previous inhabitants. The cute cabin visitor logs were a great as well as the ruins of a corner residence's fireplace in the back yard. Really far away from the rest of the park. Worth the money. There are two separate bedrooms with locking doors and the bathroom has a door. Clean, cute and no mice, just some stinkbugs. The Wildflower reserve (see pictures) was awesome and had a very large wilderness education center. The Mineral Spring was really small but the hike up to it and around it is beautiful in the fall. The beach area was quiet during the week due to the kids being back at school.

Well it definitely lives up to its name! Lol lots of critters and raccoons in the tent areas after dark trying to steal our food. We had such a great weekend here! Lots of trails, beautiful beaches and lake for swimming. Nice electric sites, clean bathrooms with a few warm showers, and dish wash station.

Stayed in one of the group camps for a family reunion. The cabins were great if you don't mind a little rustic. Every cabin has an outlet which is all I needed for my CPAP machine and a fan. Every little cluster of cabins had a bathroom with multiple toilets and a hot water heater so the sinks and showers had hot water at will. The group mess hall was huge with a well equipped kitchen and huge dining area. There's also multiple group fire pits, a sand volleyball court, and a little basketball court. Great place if you have a larger group and want to pretend like you're back in summer/scout camp. We're probably going to be spending some more family reunions here. Just beware leaving any food out or not locking your doors, the raccoons are desperate for a bite of whatever you have

What an amazing park. Tons of trails and walking areas, a beach on a river with incredible views and a snack shack and boat rental area, a wildflower preserve, awesome campsites with and without electricity. The views while driving through the park are awesome and even better when you get out of the car. Wife and I drove all the way from Wisconsin and picked this park on a whim and we would absolutely come back and spend more time in this wonderful little slice of heaven

Remarkably poor experience. Two bathhouses for the entire campground. Those two bathhouses have two showers per side. Meaning for the entire campground there are four men's showers and four women's showers. Shockingly there is always a line. There was no patrol, security or law enforcement on the fourth of July. Consequently, it was a barking madhouse that entire night and well well into the morning (4am). The campground states that only 5 people or one family unit can occupy a site, however they do not enforce this rule. A neighboring site had four tents and two vehicles but they had no issues with the management. Adding to the extremely limited facilities. Finally, for the cost per night there are other nearby options that still have electric at the site for a similar price. Why two stars then? The sites were large.
