This is definitely the place to stay. Close to everything, great customer service, and very clean cabins and bathhouses. My family enjoyed their stay and had a blast. The rock panning is an absolute must. Most places it's just good luck. But here, you get a lot of gems and amythysts even in the small bags. The cavern tour was also a lot of fun. Managed to find a few salamanders.

No raccoons around when we went haha, but this was the best cave adventure I've ever experienced! Most people I told about the place didn't know about it and it deserves so much hype. The staff was so friendly and it was a totally laid back experience, as long as you can keep your hands in your pockets! They have done an amazing job taking care of this cave. The critters were super interesting and learning about them before the tour was fun for the kids. DON'T LICK THE SALAMANDERS! We now have a new quote in the house haha. Make sure to check out the gift shop. I got my new favorite cup there. I recommend adding on one of the panning kits at the end of the tour, as well. The kids loved the gems and talked all about what they saw in the cave. We'll definitely be back when they're a bit older for the cave adventures and to camp in one of the adorable cabins on the property.

We were looking for a fairly cheap place to stay near the aquarium, and decided to try this place out. It's perfect for medium to large families (2 adults and 4 kids, in our case). We stayed in a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cabin with a fold-out couch, and cooked most of our meals in the cabin. It fit our family perfectly. We also lucked out, because there were 4 or 5 other families with kids staying at the same time, so the playground was very active. We also did the gem mining experience, and the kids enjoyed that (youngest is 7, oldest is 13, and all had fun with the panning). We ended up not doing the cave tour on site, as our youngest two weren't allowed to do the longer tour. The cabins themselves feel very private, even though they're very close to everything. We went to Ruby Falls cave, and it was 12 minutes away. The aquarium is around 15 minutes. So the location is great for getting into town, but then you also have a place to come back and decompress in the evening with a yard and a deck. The cabins aren't brand-new, but they also haven't been left to fall apart. All of the appliances worked well and weren't messed up at all. The staff is wonderful (kinda what you'd expect from a Southern hospitality town), everyone is kind and easy-going. They picked our trash up within 5 minutes every time we set it out. Check in was quick, 3 or 4 minutes. All in all, 5 stars, and we'll keep this place in mind the next time we come this direction.

We stayed in the safari tents which were awesome! The campground was located close to everything we wanted to do in Chattanooga. It was very quiet and super friendly. The staff were great with any little issue we had and getting firewood was quick and easy. The playground was situated where I could easily watch my kids and just enjoy a fire while they played. My only complaint was the bathhouse left a little to be desired, but overall not so negative I wouldn’t come back. Thanks for the great stay! Can’t wait to come back.

We ended up needing a spot extremely last minute for a large RV and trailer, despite the crazy length the lady at the front desk named Julie worked magic and got us in without having to even unhook the trailer! The campground is very clean and accommodating. The grounds offer so much for kids, adults and pets. Yes they really do have raccoons and we actually got to see three of them! Very animal friendly which was a must for me and they even have a doggy daycare. We’ve camped a lot but this one is definitely in my top 5. My son had a blast and like the campground more than the actual trip we made. There’s a little something for everyone here. We will be back!

The lady that guided us was very knowledgable and very helpful and fun. The cave is "smaller" than some of the others in the area, but it's also better preserved. There's a pretty strict "no touching" policy, obviously. It has a lot of good features. It's not as flashy as Cathedral or Ruby Falls, but it's still very interesting and intimate. It's a lot more wet and muddy than other cave tours I've been on, so be prepared for muddy shoes.

Loved this cave tour! Ava was very knowledgeable and funny, which my kids loved! Didn’t see any salamanders, but they have a nice display of the animals you can find in the cave. Some of the lights weren’t working inside of the cave, so it was a little dark, but we were able to use phone flashlights and made it through just fine.

Very clean quiet and friendly campground. Check in process was very smooth. Cabin was clean and neat as a pin. Kids enjoyed playground as well. Very convenient to local attractions. The cavern was much nicer than expected. Probably as a whole nicer than the more well known ruby falls. Already planning our next visit

This tour was amazing! We saw salamanders and active formations. Landon was our guide, he was very thoughtful, knowledgeable and fun. We will definitely come back just to see it all over again. I wish we had known about tipping (we had no cash), Landon definitely made our experience awesome!

Campground has nice views, full hookups in some sites. (Called Deluxe sites), a bit priced and early checkout (11 am). Bathhouse could use a very good clean up. No handicap shower or toilet. Toilets not bolted in place, air vents very clogged with dust, showers don't have hooks or bench to put your clothes. If you don't have to use the bathhouse you will be OK. I think that clean and comfortable bathhouse is important in this kind of business.
