We have stayed here several times & have rented 5 different lots. I really like this place, but: All are owned by individuals, and every one of these lots has been somewhat disappointing. Each lot has propane appliances (BBQ’s, fire pits, hot water heaters, plumbing, etc.). These all require maintenance, and in most cases either did not work, or did not work properly. Our current site has evidence of dog hair on all chairs (some stink so bad I wouldn’t sit there). The BBQ igniter did not work, but it did burn all the hair off my right hand. So, I got it to flame. The outdoor fireplace was leaking propane and drained the tank, so it never worked, and the hot water only worked for 2-days. While you have to spend a $80 cleaning fee (which we have no problem paying if it’s clean) the place was so dirty my wife spent several hours cleaning the surfaces (when we first got there and also before we left; because, that's what we do). Dirt, dust, leaves, cobwebs, pet hair, this place looks as though no one has been here for years. Most of these sites are really cool. But, I have yet to experience one in the rental pool that is maintained properly. Lastly, if you stay for more than a month, you have to register with the power Co. & pay for power. No problem: except, the address HAS to be exactly what is in the power co's. records; and the address Rancho gives you is wrong. Secondly, while you can specify start & end dates (with the power co.) you still have to terminate your service directly with them: THEY WILL NOT BACK-DATE IF YOU SCREW THIS UP. All of this is really weird, and not a Rancho issue. But, you will still have to deal with it. If you do it by telephone, it may take you a few hours...Just beware. As I said before, we love this place, and hope to come back. But, the power issue is time consuming, most of the sites are poorly maintained (but beautiful). If you are a golfer, you should really come, as the course is beautiful. If we golfed, we would buy a spot here.

We have rented, owned, sold, rented and own again! Been coming here since 2002 and love it! I've read some critical reviews about rental lots and so sorry they had that experience. Rentals are from individual owners so a little more diligence is required, like talking to the owner and asking when the last time they actually saw their lot and by who and how often it is maintained.. But, for the most part we have had only positive experiences. The rules are for the benefit of all the owners and residences and it's very clearly stated what the rules are regarding the age and type of RV allowed. This is not unusual for an upscale resort, which this is. It can be very kid friendly, depending on your kids I guess. There is golfing, swimming, hiking, tennis and pickleball, all must be accompanied by an adult. As far as the HOA fee is concerned, you won't be responsible for that as a renter but you will have access to all the amenities with no additional charge. If you are looking to buy, you might check out what comparable resorts charge for HOA fees. Resorts in the Palm Desert area charge as much as $1200/mo for HOA fees and restricted to Motorcoach only. With about a 15-20 minute drive to Temecula, we find it very convenient and also very peaceful. We are happy with our choice to own a lot here and adore our neighbors. The restaurant is good and the market is very well stocked. Great place for a relaxing vacation or extended stay.

I’ve been coming here for seven years, after three of the years we bought a lot. It is a beautiful resort with a gorgeous golf course. No teetimes needed you just go play! There are five swimming pools. One is just for owners all the others everyone can go to. They are always clean and maintained. We have so much fun here with our friends. There is a restaurant on site and a fishing pond along with Pickleball and as I said plenty of golf time. You can rent a space or you can purchase a space. Each lot is individual individually owned. only 25 minutes from Temecula for all your shopping needs.

I was discriminated against because my RV was too small. They turned me away, stating they don't accept trailers smaller than 30 feet. My 10-year-old son was devastated as he had been excited about their five pools. I wouldn't recommend this RV resort to anyone, even those with larger RVs. If they can pick and choose which RVers they cater to and exclude others based on size, they don’t deserve my business or referrals. Just as they pick and choose, I can choose to take my business elsewhere and not refer anyone to them.

While other places are building pickleball courts trying to meet the demand, we have our own private pickleball courts that are ready to be played on! People wave when you walk or drive by. The pools are well maintained. The activities are top-notch and meet the social needs of the extroverts. Outside of when there's an activity going on, it's very quiet and secluded, which provides peace and quiet. I love daily trash pick-up, thoughtful neighbors, the scenic beauty, and the "on vacation" attitude. The golf course is challenging but transports you to what looks like "paradise" as you maneuver through the 14 holes. The last four holes, to complete the 18-hole course, are repeated from a different teeing area within holes 1 - 4. Brilliant!

I stumbled on this hidden Gem and now I live here part time. I'm so impressed with this resort, that I'm considering buying a lot here. It is extremely quiet and peaceful. The grounds are impeccable. The facilities are immaculate. The maintenance crews should be commended on a job well done. Everything is here! Grocery store, cafe, golf course, several swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, club houses and hiking trails. There's even a lake to fish. So you really don't have to leave here very often. Everyone seems to be super friendly including the staff.

Private community. Loved being there for the Fourth celebration. Chili samples for contest, very fun and some really good chili makers. The people here are what makes it fun ! Golf course within, nice. Swimming pool's spread about, club houses. I would consider living here at retirement. Very nice !
