Rancho Verde RV Park

Overview

Rancho Verde RV Park offers a peaceful, adult-oriented retreat in the heart of Arizona’s Verde Valley. Unlike the dusty desert landscapes often found in the Southwest, this park is known for its lush canopy of mature trees, providing ample shade and a cooling breeze. It serves as a quiet home base for travelers who appreciate a well-maintained, serene environment while exploring the diverse natural beauty of central Arizona.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in Camp Verde, the park enjoys a centralized location that makes it easy to visit iconic destinations like Sedona and Jerome. The surrounding area is characterized by the Verde River and dramatic red rock vistas. Because it is tucked away from the main highway, guests can enjoy the tranquility of the high desert without the noise of heavy traffic, making it a true oasis for weary road travelers.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed for comfort and convenience, offering utility connections that cater to modern RV needs. The layout accommodates a variety of rigs while maintaining a sense of privacy among the foliage.

  • Reliable 50-amp and 30-amp service and full hookups at every site.
  • Meticulously maintained restrooms and laundry facilities for guest use.
  • A spacious, fenced dog park and shaded communal seating areas for socializing.

These features ensure that while the park feels rustic and natural, guests still have access to the essential comforts of home during their stay.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is always within reach, starting with the ancient cliff dwellings at Montezuma Castle National Monument, located just minutes away. Animal lovers can head to the nearby Out of Africa Wildlife Park, while those seeking scenic views can take a short drive to the famous red rocks of Sedona. The historic mining town of Jerome offers a unique hillside shopping and dining experience, and the Verde Canyon Railroad provides a relaxing way to see the rugged landscape from a vintage train car.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for quiet-seeking RVers and retirees who prioritize a calm, adult-focused atmosphere over loud resort amenities. It is a fantastic choice for those traveling with pets who need a shady spot to rest. If your travel style involves exploring historic sites by day and returning to a peaceful, tree-lined sanctuary by night, Rancho Verde RV Park is the perfect match for your Arizona itinerary.

This park was very disappointing for the price. The only reason I gave it any stars at all was because the bathroom/shower house and laundry facilities were very clean. We were put in a spot in the lower section by the “stream” and it was not well maintained. The guy who led us to our spot said he was going to get to cutting the weeds which was 5 days ago and guess what? Just as we are preparing to leave he comes to weed wack. Unbelievable. The “upper” part of the park looked neat and tidy but our section looked like the ghetto. For 65.00 a night I expected more. Only amenities are the shower house & laundry. Very disappointing. Weeds were knee high. If you book don’t let them put you by the stream. Also it is touted as a dark sky community. Ha! Right behind our spot was a large rv park with very bright lights.

camping in 41 ft motorhome. Sites are level gravel and wide. Adequate dog park, pool and clubhouse exquisite, fitness room has lots of equipment. Good variety of items in store. Lots of fun activities, including dinners and breakfast! Lovely RV park. Would stay again!

Always great when I get a pet friendly cabin Easy in and out comfy. I'd like the units to be made up with linens etc.. but I usually rent and put it together myself Hot tub rocks Location is ok but it's not close to CW etc. But.no one can do anything about that. They always get me in as I'm a short notice usually. RV side rocks nice level sites

Great place in Camp Verde. Love the spot we got to camp in. The location was with a stream running behind it. In the late afternoon loved just sitting and looking at it. Neighbors were great. All in all, I can not wait to return.
