When we were heading to Rasar State Park, it was pouring rain—honestly, the weather was wild. At one point, we had to pull over on the side of the road with the RV because we couldn’t even see ahead. But we were determined to go, and I’m so glad we did! Despite the rain and wind, the park was absolutely beautiful. There were mushrooms everywhere (you can see them in the pictures), and plenty of peaceful trails to explore. It wasn’t very crowded, which made it even better. The staff on site were super friendly, and everything was clean and well-kept. We’re already planning to come back in the spring or summer so we can take advantage of all the amenities. Even in the middle of a storm, we had a great time. I’d definitely recommend Rasar State Park for your next camping trip!

We stayed in the Coho cabin. It has a bathroom and kitchen area. Really nice campground. Very shady and full of trees. FYI, there's not much privacy between this cabin and the neighboring one. Skagit cabin is the most private. The cabin has a fridge, microwave and a k cup coffee maker. We brought a toaster. It's a quick walk down to the river. Gorgeous views. We only stay in cabins when we camp and the one constant issue is that the beds are terribly uncomfortable. We bring a full size roll-up mattress. I highly suggest you bring something similar. Even an air mattress. Full size. Other than that, this is by far the nicest state park cabin we've stayed in.

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. Mike and the rest of the staff are friendly and do an amazing job keeping everything clean. Because the park is relatively small, the hiking trails are short but enjoyable and we liked reading the interpretive signs along the way. We stayed in #20 which had this amazing green canopy of trees and lots of privacy. It’s a short walk from the campground to the rocky banks of the Skagit River.

This park is a gem. It has the cleanest bathrooms I've ever encountered at a park, and the trails are very well maintained. The hiking is sorta short, and you can do all of the hikes in an hour or two, but they are very pretty and secluded. The playground is nice, and I saw a lot of people fishing and riding bikes. It seems to be a great low maintenance park for families or for people that just want to read a book with a view.

The cabins are wonderful. The park is large and beautiful. Rangers helpful, kind and had a sense of humor. Great for river walks, kid bicycle riding and space to feel alone.
