Beautiful, busy place. If you don't mind the peak season gongshow, this could be a good option in the summer. Nice setting, great for kids. Easily accessible beach. Lots of fountains and bathrooms. Accommodates dogs. Only a few minutes to town. Camp or RV. Right off the highway. For anyone looking for serene untouched wilderness, this is not quite it. It's glamping.

I love this campsite, the water at the beach is upto waist on high tide even you walk away from shore almost a kilometer its still waist deep. Morning lowtide is a great walk. Not much mosquito in the area we stayed at the group campsite they have good showers lots of rabbit around and saw couple of deer 3mins away from liquor store 5mins away from grocery and restaurants

This place is like camping heven. Clean sites, clean bathrooms, lush forest, ocen is a short walk AND only $35 per night. I love this place!

Great campground, nice and quiet with a wonderful beach. One big disadvantage is the allowed use of extremely noisy generators. Excessive noise can negatively impact other campers, hindering their ability to connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors. Apparently this is normal in BC Parks.

Rathtrevor is one of the best provincial sites, which is why it is so tough to get into. I was passing through before the reservations kicked in (spring break) and found a spot easily. Huge sites, lots of privacy, and excellent amenities make this a premier camping destination. Very family friendly…and a gorgeous beach round off Rathtrevor. If you can get a spot, consider yourself lucky!

Good maintained and decent sized spot to pitch your tent. We were close to a pit toilet and water which was convenient (seeing that we didn't have a reservation). The hot showers and flush toilets are unfortunately far and few and there's not parking anywhere besides your campsite and at the office (which isn't close to the showers).

This campground is extremely popular with locals such that we arrived in early September on a Wednesday evening and all 100 plus sites were taken. This was when the sites just became first come first served and reservations were no longer possible. I wish BC parks would change the the date to a later date when the campground becomes FCFS to let people continue to be able to make reservations and not be disappointed to arrive there only to find none available. Also the campground was poorly staffed. There was no one at the gates from 7pm on till 10am.

Small house. BIG backyard..love my local provincial park. Fabulous beach. Great bike/hike trails. Unfortunately not as beach friendly for dogs. Just not allowed at all at certain times of the year and on leash only in certain parts and again not at all in other parts.

2 stars for the pretty park / beach - but not coming back here & not worth the money...office was shut, no clear directions re parking...got bumped off 1st spot in middle of preparing dinner (for covid reasons they said - tho none of staff had masks on) asked 2 staff members if I could pay...one said she'd come later other did not have change or debit...fell asleep exhausted and got woken past 9.00 pm to pay - even tho all curtains were shut !!! They could not wait till the morning to pick up their money...
