This KOA park was just what we needed a little more than a month ago when we had our Class A Motor Home towed from Capucan Volcano to Raton, New Mexico. Not only was it clean, a good location and quiet.... The service that Grant and his staff provided was incredible! He stayed at the office after closing to make sure we arrived safely and the tow truck could unload our RV in the proper pad site so it could be serviced. He recommended repair services and restaurants. He did not charge us an extra day when we had to wait for another truck to tow our RV to the repair center in Trinidad, Colorado. We are really thankful to find such people to help us in the time of need. Thank You and GOD BLESS!

We had such a wonderful stay at the KOA cabins in Raton, NM! The cabins were spotless, the beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms were close by and very clean — everything was so convenient and well cared for. Grant was an exceptional host — so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. He truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, and you can tell he takes great pride in keeping the campground in great shape. While we didn’t bring our dogs this time, we loved that it’s pet friendly and even has a cute little dog park! It’s such a great setup for travelers with pets. We highly recommend this KOA to anyone passing through or looking for a cozy getaway. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Raton!

Grant was very helpful. He helped airing up our low tries. They also have propane. The park is old gravel but mostly dirt. The bathroom/shower room is very dated. We didn’t use them! This is not our favorite RV park.

Called after hours for a spot and the gentleman was very nice and we got a safe spot for the night with easy instructions for a late night pull in. People are commenting that it's outdated, which it is a bit, but it was clean and that's the important thing. They don't realize how much cost goes in to owners. Reasonably priced for a KOA with full hookups and cable. We definitely appreciated it. Thank you!

Depends- we stayed 1 night so I don’t care that the bathrooms were outdated like staying at a rustic campground. It’s not much of a place and is in town. It was low safety on my personal radar as people were riding back and forth on bikes just outside the park during our late arrival. For 1 night I can get over the short comings but I would not stay longer.
