Beautiful spot. Water is gorgeous. Lake has lots of erratic boulders to explore. Canoes are always good quality to take out on an adventure. And the ice cream is delicious!

This place really has become somewhat of a haven to my partner and I. We come here when we feel sad, when we argue and when we want to catch some sun It's a calm area that feels very safe and enclosed, it's not often busy and there's always space for us There are lots of free amenities, including toilets, benches, deck chairs and even kayaks and paddle boards!!! All you have to do is check them out with the cafe. We have enjoyed their hotdogs so far but they were excellent and for $3 you really can't argue. The only issue we ever have here are the horseflies which can be annoying so definitely bring bug spray!!!

Municipal Park on Sandy Bottom Lake, with knowledgeable staff, canteen, supervised swimming area and kayaks. Lovely spot.

This is a great family park. Everyone had their own space on the beach, there is some shade, picnic tables and seats available, canteen and clean washrooms. You can rent kayaks and canoes. Swimming area is roped off and it's not too deep, so kids can be having fun while remaining safe. It is a lake, so there are leeches and minnows - which the kids loved to try and catch, so bring a bucket! We live roughly 40/45 mins away, so we stayed hours and my kids were not disappointed! Freezies were only $1 for the jumbo ones (bonus!) Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy :)
