Rawlins KOA Journey
The Rawlins KOA is your perfect stopover on your travels through Wyoming!
We like to say we are a day's drive from everywhere! That means we are the perfect stop on your way to or from all there is to see and do in Wyoming! We are also a day's drive from Mt Rushmore, Denver, Salt Lake City and many other locations! We offer convenient on/off of I-80
We have many wonderful ways to stay with RV sites to fit any need, tent camp sites with power at all sites, and cabins for those that love the outdoors but also like to have a roof over their heads. We are also in the process of upgrading to a deluxe couples cabin and 20 new RV sites.
Because we are located in a high desert climate, we enjoy great weather - warm, dry, breezy days and cool evenings.
There are lots of things to see and do in our area should you choose to stay an extra day or two! We are just off the Continental Divide Trail, the Transamerica Trail and if you are interested in world-class fishing, ATV'ing, hiking or other activities, we can help you find what you are looking for in our area. Just ask one of our Guest Services Specialists when you check in.

This is a great campground. The owners are terrific and very accomodating. We are tent campers and the tentsites were large, include a picnic table and fire ring and were very convenient to the front office and showers. The bathroom and showers were clean. The campground has a wonderful area offering gas grills for use for campers and an area with adirondak chairs around a gas firepit. The front office includes snacks, gifts, ice, etc. Campgrounds with tent sites are hard to find these days. This was a terrific find!

Brenda, Kevin are the best KOA hosts we have ever encountered. They went above and beyond for us and our 4 little ones, exceptional service, extremely convenient very affordable. Will definitely stay in with them next time we are on this path.

Basic RV spot, had separate patio which was nice. Only had 30 amp service at my spot. Dirt/gravel road. Had bathrooms, play area for kids, no pool. New owners trying their best to make improvements.

We enjoyed an overnight stay with convenient highway access at a lovely little campground. They have a pleasant front office with a selection of unique gifts. The staff, or perhaps the owners, were very pleasant and welcoming individuals. If you are seeking a convenient stop with easy highway access, I highly recommend visiting. The campsites are generously sized; we had no difficulty accommodating our 43-foot fifth wheel and a 350 F, with ample space available.

We can’t thank the Rawlins KOA team enough for their kindness and flexibility! Our travel companions had unexpected vehicle trouble on our trip, and they went out of their way to make last-minute arrangements for us. From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming, understanding, and made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier. The campground was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained (store is adorable), but what truly stood out was the care and hospitality of the owners. We’re so grateful for their help and highly recommend this KOA to anyone passing through Rawlins!
