A great, quiet campground! Tucked away from everything but still close enough if you need supplies from the nearby town. Everyone is very friendly and the camp host is very accommodating making sure their guests are well taken care of! Also pet friendly! Our bulldog Diesel had a great time exploring! Thank you for a relaxing weekend!

Our favorite campground! We’ve been to a lot of campgrounds, but this is easily favorite. I can’t say enough nice things about Timber Run. It’s clean, the sites are spacious. The staff are always so friendly and cheerful and welcoming. We keeping coming back numerous times a year. They always have fun activities planned. From country line dancing nights to Haunted houses and costume contests, there’s always something fun going on at Timber Run. They pour their heart into the campground and it shows. Keep up the good work Timber Run!

If you are looking for a clean, beyond friendly & welcoming with amazing views THIS is a campground you do NOT want to miss!!! The owners are beyond hospitable and want to make your stay as perfect as possible AND they do!!! We stayed in sites 22 & 23 and they had patios with fabulous fire pits and propane grills. The landscaping (natural & planted) is stunning. The store is well packed and they make items there (I got a beautiful appliqué hoodie). We traveled from Baltimore, MD and 83 was a bear BUT so worth it!!! Already booked for next June and planning a fall trip this year to repeat!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Amazing Stay at Timber Run Campground! We had an incredible experience at Timber Run Campground in Saxton, PA! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and right at home. The grounds are clean, well-maintained, and perfectly nestled in a peaceful, wooded setting — ideal for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature. The campsites are spacious and private, and the hookups worked flawlessly. We especially loved the beautiful walking trails and the nearby stream — it’s the perfect spot for relaxing by the water or letting the kids explore safely. The bathhouses were spotless, and the camp store was stocked with all the essentials we needed (and a few treats too!). Whether you’re in a tent, RV, or looking to rent a cabin, Timber Run has something for everyone. We’ll definitely be back — this is a hidden gem in the heart of central PA. Highly recommend!

We spent three nights in the laurel mist cabin with a 1 year old, 4 year old and 7 year old. The cabin was clean and the queen mattress was amazing! The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. The playground and jump pad were a hit with the kids! The cabin had a beautiful patio complete with chairs and a grill and the glider bench on the deck was a must have with a baby. We had lots of fun!

Awesome place to stay people were very helpful and inviting. We were running late getting there and they helped us out by giving us a pull through site instead of the back end because it was so late! Great folks running the place! Will definitely come back and spend another week!

Took advantage of the KOA Rewards program to go tenting 2 nights for the same price. This is a great campground with a peaceful atmosphere in the woods. The staff did a great job of taking care of us. We will definitely be back, and I think my wife is hooked on camping now :)

The staff and owners at this little KOA in Raystown Lake make it worth the trip! Just a short distance from the Lake Raystown Resort to feed the carp and launch a boat or the Trough Creek State Park to hike or fish. This little gem has lots of amenities including a playground, pool, game room, jump pad, Gaga pit, and camp store. The bathrooms and laundry areas are kept clean and orderly. There are many types of sites and cabins as well. Don’t hesitate to book your stay at the Raystown Lake/Saxton KOA!

Thank you very much KOA Saxton. Way Above and beyond. From the time we arrived until we left, the entire staff was attentive and wonderful. Entire campground is clean and very well maintained. The sites were flat, level, and easy to park the camper into. It is very apparent that they love what they do and take pride in their campground. We will be back. Thank you, Mike and Michele Richards
