This isn't a fancy place, but I love it when cities invest in a simple RV park that is easily accessible to people stopping by to explore the area. Most of the spots were pull through, so very easy to get in and out. For weekdays, it's only $15 or $20 on weekends. A very few spots had picnic tables and grills. There were both 30 and 50 amp hookups. Water hookups were available for the sites. There is also a small lake adjacent that has placed to hike. Next to that is a nice playground. If I pass through again, I will definitely stay a night or two.

Place is horrible. Groundskeeper lives there and acts like the place is his and his barking dogs. As soon as we got there he came straight to bother us. Nothing is been kept.... nothing. Last time we come here.

Recreation Park, Pampa, Texas: A Year-Round Hub for Community and Outdoor Fun "Recreation Park in Pampa, Texas, is truly a fantastic multi-purpose outdoor facility, offering a wide array of activities that make it a valuable asset for both locals and travelers. My recent visit confirmed its reputation as a go-to spot for outdoor enjoyment and vibrant community events in the Panhandle. For those who love fishing, the 7-acre lake is a real draw, stocked and ready for anglers – a peaceful spot to cast a line and enjoy the quiet. The walking trail around the lake is another highlight, offering a scenic and accessible route for a leisurely stroll or an invigorating run, perfect for soaking in the natural beauty of the area. Sports enthusiasts will be delighted by the ample space for softball and baseball, indicating a well-equipped area for team sports and community leagues. And for those who enjoy a good spike, there are also volleyball courts, adding even more options for active fun. For RVers, the RV park with water and electrical hook-ups, along with dump stations, provides a convenient and comfortable stop. There are also showers and restrooms available for campers, which is a great amenity. Beyond its daily offerings, Recreation Park truly shines as a community gathering place during special events. If you're lucky enough to visit after Thanksgiving, you'll be treated to the spectacular "Celebration of Lights." This magical display features beautiful lights that pay homage to classic Christmas movies of the past, creating a truly enchanting experience for all ages. Similarly, the 4th of July weekend transforms the park into a patriotic extravaganza. Beyond the dazzling fireworks show that lights up the Pampa sky, you'll find numerous non-profit organizations and a fantastic array of food trucks and trailers. It's a bustling hub where you might even catch a gentleman doing impressive chainsaw carvings of bears, or a group showcasing their finely crafted gun holsters. This event draws people from all over the Panhandle, making it a truly amazing display of local talent and community spirit. The park's overall atmosphere is generally pleasant and inviting, with plenty of open space for various activities, from picnicking to simply enjoying the outdoors. My primary suggestion for improvement would be the restrooms. While functional, they are in need of a little updating to match the otherwise great facilities and enhance the visitor experience. This is a minor point, however, considering the many positives. Despite this small area for enhancement, Recreation Park is a highly recommended destination. It's ideal for families, RVers, fishing enthusiasts, walkers, and anyone looking for a comprehensive outdoor recreation experience or a dose of community spirit in Pampa. It's clear that this park plays a significant role in the community and offers something for just about everyone." Fi🎣 🏐 🎇 🎆

Beautiful. Friendly walkers. Benches are in the tall grass, but you can't get to them because of the volume of rattlesnakes inhabiting this park.
