Visited in late October and the campground was pretty much empty. We were able to find a nice little corner for ourselves. Thereās room are many, many campsites for different set ups. We have a midsize fifth wheel and had no trouble navigating the campgrounds and roads, plenty of loops to turn around. Some shade but mostly open. Weather was great for us in October and the fall colors were wonderful. Conveniently located off 83. We just stayed one night. Highly recommend.

Beautiful scenery and a good hunting there.

It's southwest Nebraska. An oasis of trees, hiking, and water in the middle of lots of corn, beans, and pasture. Explore some of the back dirt roads - there are a lot of neat areas to investigate. Camping is adequate. Fishing is good. My boys and I love to visit, and it's just 15 minutes from McCook!

Great place for photography and beautiful lake. Take the dirt roads and see where they lead you.
