This was a great place to stay at. The options for cabins are great and the one I choose has a bunk bed and the couch fold out as a bed wich was great. There is bond fire outside wich was great. the location is perfect because there was lots of things to do near.

Our kid goes to Cal Poly Humboldt and we like to travel with our dogs. A lot of the hotels charge an absolute fortune to bring your dogs. We’ve always been campers, so when we saw an RV park with pet friendly cabins, we figured we would give it a try. I was a little hesitant due to some of the recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. I think maybe these reviewers are unfamiliar with rv parks. Yes, there are a lot of people who live there in their rvs. The residents we interacted with were friendly as we usually find in RV parks. The park was clean. It doesn’t have the same upkeep as it would have when it was owned by KOA. But, it wasn’t trashy. Comparing it to other RV parks I have stayed in, it wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst and seemed pretty average. The cabin was as expected. Minimalist, but clean. Yes, it was a little smelly, but that is due to the wood shellac and moisture in the air. We opened up both of the windows and got some good cross air ventilation to air it out. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. Bring a couple blankets and your pillows as the blanket provided is thin and pillows are flat and it does get a little chilly at night (which I love). There is a little heater on the wall, so than helped take the chill off when needed. As for the reviewer who mentioned an animal/farm smell? There were chickens behind us. But, I know this because I heard them. I never smelled them. The girl at the front desk was really nice. We caught her right as she was about to go to lunch, but she helped us out with a smile. It is pretty common for smaller, slower RV parks to have one person taking care of the office. Do be careful with your timing thought. Check-in began at 2 which was when she was taking her lunch and the office closes at 6. You still can self-check in, but if you want a person, your best bet is probably after 3 and before 6. Warning: lots of burrs if you have dogs. We will be getting our dogs booties for next time! In summary, if you are used to RV parks, this place is just fine. If you are looking for a hotel with a 24 hour front desk, fancy linens, spotless bathroom and a normal air conditioner/heater, you will likely be disappointed. For us, this will be our go to place when we visit our kid. The price is right, the people are friendly, and there is a place to walk our dogs that feels safer than the areas surrounding the local hotels.

We came up here for our engagement. Staff was very friendly, decorated the cabin with rose, petals roses, and our favorite beverage. When we were low on firewood, they gave us a free bundle to assist us. Definitely coming back beautiful cabins beautiful area. We love you

Stay far away! We stayed there on pictures and well the pictures have to be so old. I thought how fun huge checkers and chess, Mini golf park for my child and the dogs. The hose sprinkler was in that area only and left on for days so it was all flooded and mildewed. Mini golf was flooded since it also was in that area. The dog park was full of dead grass like the rest of the resort tons of poop and fleas. After 2 days of being there both are dogs had fleas, and one had a fox tale in his paw. FYI vet bills are not cheap for this removal and sedation. We called the office one day before going to let them know we should be there by 6:15pm no one answered all day and the next day. While there I personally walked to the office at different times and every time the sign said closed. This park is full of long term residents that had there spots looking so over grown with weeds and one RV the full 4 days we were there was leaking water out the back. I knocked on the door no answer and this is why I was going to the office. I do not normally see water pouring from a RV. I was hoping it wasn’t flooded. The people next to us left after one day because it was so disgusting and dirty. This place is such a missed opportunity of a great place to stay. It is small enough to be redone and revamped.

This has been a great place to stay everytime! The rooms are cozy, plus they have small heaters for when it's cold. The service is so kind and incredibly helpful. The one this that I did notice that did bum me out is that the bathrooms which were spic and span during my last stays was not up to par this time at all!! It was filthy every time I went in
