After telling a friend about my experience here they encouraged me to share with Google reviews. I think I have never given a Google review before this. I have been a camper my whole life, when I was young I experienced a lot of camping with my family both as seasonal and just a few nights on occasion. Now, as an adult, I have my daughter, my parents are gone, but my love of camping has persisted throughout, so I have been camping regularly for many years, a few years back I decided that I wanted to be a seasonal camper and have the camper ready to use whenever I wished to use it. After some quick research and a couple of phone calls I found that Renfrew had availability more easily than the other campgrounds in my area. It seemed to be a good and calm place where I could take my daughter to enjoy. I camped as a seasonal camper here for three seasons, it flooded one time which caused damage to many campers in the campground, but for the most part my experience here was quite relaxing, I quickly became friends with many like minded seasonal campers that wanted to enjoy camping in the same way that I do. I recently have decided to not continue my status as a seasonal camper here for two reasons, firstly, I didn't camp a lot this season and the cost is high based on only going there a few times, and secondly, one of my fellow campers (my next door neighbour) was asked to not return here due to a noise complaint. I had been under the impression that a noise complaint would result in a warning, not an eviction, so this was a shocking development for me. Despite the cost, the fact I didn't use it much, and the seemingly unfair treatment of a fellow seasonal camper, I will keep many fond memories of the campground, It's employees, and many fellow campers.

It’s a good place to camp. We had a nice spot for our car and tent, but the problem is that there’s no indication or map to show you your spot. We spent more than 20 minutes looking for it, especially since we arrived after 10:00 PM. Also, the shower only has cold water, and the toilet is a bit far from the site, so we had to take the car to get there. However, considering the amount of money we paid, it’s fair.

We are so happy with renfrew camping. It's a great place with large lots and space between campers and where we have made many friends that we enjoy our time with every weekend and vacation. Highly recommend to all.

The folks are nice but we found it tired and a bit run down. There definitely wasn’t any minimum standard of what rigs were permitted on the grounds. Honestly, some RVs looked pretty run down. The seasonal sites were quite neglected as well…not a pretty sight. In general, no one here seems to overly suffer with pride. There was significant trash scattered across a nearby empty site when we arrived around 1pm. The next day at 7pm it was still there. It cost a quarter in the machine to make showers run for 5 minutes…but the water was hot. Not recommended for fussy folk…that’s us I guess.

Spent 4 days camping at Renfrew last week, it was wonderful. So Quiet and loved the location at the river bend area. Loved the pool during the heat wave. Everyone at the office were so helpful and welcoming. Mary and Carrie were so helpful and friendly told us where the turtles hide, and bike rentals , hard working ladies! outhouses were very clean. If you want to enjoy nature and quiet this is the place to go best of all not far from the city. Thank you Renfrew 😊
