Maybe it's the time of year (checked in November 2), but we weren't super impressed. It wasn't awful, but definitely not our favorite. We paid extra for a premium site on the lake and it clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while (random pieces of gorilla tape on the table, bird poop on chairs, lots of spider webs and dirt on chairs), and 2 of the chairs were broken. I had to clean all the chairs and the table before doing anything else. Nothing was open. We had hoped to rent kayaks, but it was closed when we were there. The heated pool didn't feel heated, and it also didn't seem to be kept up with/cleaned (lots of leaves, bugs, sand, etc). People let their big dogs run around without leashes on. One pooped at the park and the dog's owner walked right by it and didn't clean it up. Maybe she didn't see the dog do it since she was so far behind the dog? I know that's not the fault of the RV park, but since we saw different dogs not on leashes while we were there, I assume it is allowed, or at least tolerated. Overall it just wasn't the best experience.

Just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed my 70th BIRTHDAY Trip to Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore. We were there from September 23 to 26,2025. Robert and his staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Harry & I really LOVED "The Lazy River", our FAVORITE spot!! But, we also played mini golf, sipped on drinks after 3 pm at the bar next to the Adult pool, also swam in the Adult pool and used the Cabana at the Lazy River. The only thing we didn't get to use was the hot tub. The Golf Cart was SUPER FUN to zip around the resort A LOT during our stay. Our children had secretly been in contact with Robert & Sarah MONTHS AHEAD of our ARRIVAL, and had sent them decorations for my 70th BIRTHDAY (1955) Sarah had completely decorated the WHOLE COTTAGE including the Golf Cart (complete with twinkling lights) Sarah did an OUTSTANDING JOB with all the decorating!! Give her a raise!! The staff thought we were arriving at 4 pm, but we got there at 3 pm. Our kids also surprised us by renting us a Golf cart and paying for the Cabana. WHAT a FABULOUS SURPRISE!!!!!!! My heart was FULL... We were treated like we were the ONLY ONES there. We DID have a COUPLE of ISSUES but the staff resolved them QUICKLY. First time here and will definitely be back! The cleanliness of the park was top tier. Fun activities for kids like kids night out, trick-or-treating fall festival, oh and a haunted house! The Staff was amazing and so helpful. I can’t remember all their names but Sarah, Molly, and I didn’t meet Callie but my kids adore her!! We can’t wait to make more memories here.

We had an outstanding experience at Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore, thanks to Sarah. She went above and beyond to make my parents’ birthdays memorable, showing genuine care and attention to detail. Her professionalism, warmth, and dedication truly set her apart. It is rare to encounter someone so committed to creating a positive guest experience. We are very grateful for her efforts and highly recommend this location, especially with staff like Sarah ensuring such a high level of service.

This place is really nice but there's not enough trees and no natural camping sites for tents. The cabins are superb and have gorgeous sunsets. If this place added water slides and more pools, it might be better than Adventures RV up the street. But it's probably just that the 2 resorts are for different clientele. They are both good for everyone but this one might be better for families with older kids.

Beautiful RV Park, well maintained. Concrete pads for rvs with grass. Plenty of things to do for all ages; 3 pools plus a lazy river, lighted pickle ball courts, volley ball. basketball courts, miniature golf. Will definitely stay here again when we're in the area

It is a fun place! They lost a star because the pool was dirty, it had a bunch of sand in it and the pool tile was falling in the water. But my kids loved it. Also they have double and triple camping spots. Also the drinks at the bar are quite pricey. Adult pool and family pool are both heated. Lazy river is not.

The facilities are great. The pool and hot tub were great. The staff member who checked me in wasn't overly helpful. We asked about the Good Sam's discount and he said we're too late. ( As we had booked online, and there wasn't anywhere to input our membership #) My husband later went back, got the same employee, but a manager came along who happily gave us the discount.

I am never impressed by a campground but this one it’s different. We stayed only one night as we were just passing by. But what we saw and experienced told us it will be our favorite stop on our way to Florida. The staff called us to make sure we understood everything, and they also left messages for code etc…the réservation online was surprisingly and unusually not an headache. We had our welcome package waiting for us at the entrance building as we arrived after hours. The campsite is bigger than usual oriented in a way that we could not really see our neighbors but only the pond. They have several beautiful ponds where people fish and wildlife come around. Gorgeous mini golf, pickleball, beach volleyball, basketball court etc… dog park. Plenty of grass all over the place. Our dog was happy sniffing around. Big heated pool with lazy river and big floaties. Kids seem to have their best life! Live band. Personal bathrooms in the comfort building.Trails around the big pond. Beach. General store. Everything looks new, well maintained and well designed. They pick up our trash every morning and afternoon!! You can rent a golf cart to drive around. Game room. We probably have not seen everything yet but we will be back and I will update this comment. So far we are really impressed by what we saw.

We love Sun Outdoors RV resorts and have stayed at many different locations. We were excited to see what North Shore was like because the pictures looked incredible. Overall, the place still needs many upgrades but it has potential. It appears that buildings have recently been painted and the sports courts were in good shape. Check-in definitely needed a facelift, the sites were not mowed and had lots of weeds. Our site didn’t even have a picnic table. The sites that did have picnic tables around ours were very worn and warped. The pool also needs to be renovated. The playground needs to be completely torn down. There were broken limbs, loose boards, and screws sticking out. Overall, the location was good but Sun Outdoors has a lot of work to do to get this one up to the level that their other locations are at (such as San Diego Bay). We hope to come back one day once the place has been repaired.

We just got back today May 22 we had a great time. The bar tenders at the adult bar were great all 3 of them. Also Amanda in the office was very helpful . Thanks for a great time be back in June.

Super nice RV resort with awesome amenities. My only complaint is that it seemed understaffed. Trash that was around the pool when we checked in on Sunday was still there when we checked out on Friday (I did pick up a good amount myself). Due to the lack of staffing, there was no one to enforce rules. The check in procedure is also a little odd, because the office is only open from 9-5.

Clean, family friendly, buddy sites are excellent. Manager I a wonderful lady who runs a tight ship. Park rules are for everybody. You owe yourself a visit to the lazy river and swim up bar. Would be a great place to work !

Our family had the best time at this beautiful RV resort! The grounds are very well maintained and clean, they have a lot of family friendly amenities, and have great food & drinks! We stayed in one of their cabin's and slept our family of six very comfortably. We can't wait to come back for another family vacation!

Outstanding campground. Sites are nice and flat with plenty of space in between. So much to do, mini golf, lazy river, two pools and an adult only hot tub. There is also so much to see and do in the area. Very quiet location. Would definitely recommend.
