Rice Lake is an absolutely beautiful recreational area. The scenery and views of the lakes are so soothing. I often go there late at night to lay under the starry sky. It is farenough away from any light pollution, you can see the Milky Way.

Not sure why this campground cannot get some upgrades and better maintenance. My family loves to camp here and fish but, twice now the dump station is completely full. It doesn't take that much just to check it once in a while. But, probably has something to do with Illinois 🤔
