Beautiful campsite. Very well maintained and really clean. Pool is open later in the year as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I completely understand they pick a spot for you. This is very inconvenient because you’re not able to make sure your vehicle and RV fit together. We have a class C and a suv. My husband came before me. He informed them we had the suv and the class C. Every spot we saw their vehicle and RV together. When I went to pull up there was no room for our suv and the RV together and I was blocking the road by other RVs. I had to park our suv in the overflow lot and walk to our RV. We almost always have xtra stuff that needs to be put into the RV. Not everyone can store their RVs at their homes. Many have storage units they get theirs from, so with this in mind they def have to have a vehicle to take them to pick up their motorhome and will almost always have stuff that needs to be transferred into the motorhome. It was a Longer walk to the RV where it was located. We also had issues of forgetting stuff and having to walk to our vehicle. Very inconvenient and we also paid the xtra for the better spot. After looking around the campsite I noticed we were placed next to the smaller travel trailers and trucks. The other reason I also gave it a 3 is the checkout time of 11am. We are newbies to camping and we didn’t realize how inconvenient this would be with everything that goes into preparing to leave with a RV. The night before we made sure to have a lot done, however morning of we had to get up even earlier to prepare everything to be out by checkout time. There’s the put up of everything into the right spot so it doesn’t fall or break, putting stuff up into the other vehicle for home since not everything can be left in our motorhome in storage (which wasn’t at our site so that stuff was in the way, the treatment you do for your tanks, the cleaning of your tanks, the unhooking, etc) We have ours at a storage place so we have to make sure some things go back into our SUV. We are lucky to have a class C, however the travel trailers have even more stuff to do. Definitely a lesson learned and we will be more mindful of picking campgrounds that allow us to pick our spots and those that have the checkouts of 1pm! 1pm makes a huge difference on getting a better breakfast in as well. Use to stay in cabins and a checkout of 11am no issue! Just put stuff in vehicle and straighten up. With a rv spot really not much clean up other than maybe a fire pit and a bag of trash. So the 11am checkout def could be for a later time.

We came here with family. My family of 5 were in a tent, and my sister in law and her family were in a camper. We luckily got neighboring sites at the end. One down side, we paid for two sites, and the tent site did not have a picnic table, or a fire pit. It is by the interstate, so of youre in a tent, you will hear the traffic all night. Aside from that, the grounds were chill, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed fishing out at the pond at night, and caught catfishes of many sizes. Bathrooms/shower areas were clean/ well maintained. We enjoyed our stay here w our family, i would recommend this place.

Easy on and off I-70 to this KOA. The staff was so welcoming and friendly to these two exhausted travelers and that was much appreciated. The campground is very pretty and well maintained. Sites are easy to pull thru and level. Shade trees and a pond were a nice extra. Highly recommend. Oh and there's a Meijer's grocery store and gas close about 1-1/4 mile.

We had such a great experience at the Richmond KOA! It’s incredibly family-friendly and perfect for kids of all ages. There were so many fun activities to keep the little ones entertained — from the playgrounds and sand pit to planned events and crafts. The staff was warm, welcoming, and clearly put a lot of effort into making sure families have a memorable stay. The campground itself was clean, well-maintained, and peaceful, with plenty of space to relax or explore. Highly recommend for a fun, stress-free getaway with the whole family! We’ll definitely be back! Truly loved the floating lanterns for Memorial as well!
