We stayed midweek during May and it was perfect. This is a wonderful, quiet, secluded and very well maintained campground with clean toilets. Camp host Steve was kind and friendly and stopped by to welcome us. He does a GREAT job keeping this campground in tip-top shape. Camp sites are immaculate and spaces spread out with lots of privacy in wooded areas. We saw several elk and quite a few deer near by. Easy drive from Albuquerque and looking forward to going back soon. Jim & Sharon

Such a lovely campground! A small stream (which our Camp Host said it was overflowing when he got there in May), nice sized camp spots with a table and fire ring, clean toilets and garbage bins. Drove over to the San Gregorio reservoir trailhead and enjoyed the easy hike to it. Our Host Joe was so helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our visit! Had never been on this side of the Jemez before and it was great to see this area.

Nice quiet campground. Impeccably maintained. Cleanest bathrooms you'll ever find at a US Forest Campground. Camp host takes pride in maintaining the grounds and restrooms. A job well done by someone who cares. Great job, Joe. This campground has a beautiful meadow backdrop to the south. The Rio de los Vacas river runs along the eastern edge of the campground. The 15 sites are spaciously separated, providing campers privacy. We look forward to returning.

Restrooms were so clean thanks to camp host Joe! Drinking water is available. River access at the campground. Plan to visit again.

Secluded, quiet, beautiful campground about 12 miles off main highway on our way north to Durango. Clean and all paved roads. With our senior pass discount we paid $5 for our overnight stay. No cell service, but reconnected coming back down towards the highway (US 50) heading into Cuba, NM the next morning. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful afternoon. The Day area across from the campground is a great place for my Labrador Retriever to take a swim and explore to her hearts content! Plenty of shade or sun in a quiet peaceful place. #NMtrue.

The campground lives up to the reviews. The camp host is amazing. He really takes the time to keep the campground clean and functional. He also is present a lot to make sure people are not abusing the camp sites or damaging the campground. The sites are good, a bit close together at spots, but overall very good. Spots 4,5,6,7,8 were all very good. We stayed at 11, it was very good, a bit close to 9 and 10, but overall nothing to complain about. It was rather spacious itself. The restrooms are right by the entrance to the campground and by campsite 9/10. The water is by campsite 7/8. Overall, highly recommend it. Take the hike to the old copper/silver mine it is worth it also.
