It serves as a practical, well-maintained retreat for those who value space and accessibility.

The park is positioned perfectly for those who want to be near the water without sacrificing highway accessibility. Designed with the modern RVer in mind, the park features spacious full-hookup sites that accommodate both 30 and 50-amp electrical needs. Many sites are configured as pull-throughs, making setup easy for larger fifth wheels and motorhomes. Essential guest services include reliable on-site laundry facilities, clean restrooms, and high-speed Wi-Fi access. Mature trees scattered throughout the property provide necessary shade during the warm Texas summers, creating a comfortable and lived-in environment for guests during any season.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to explore just minutes from their campsite. The Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge is a prime destination for birdwatching, hiking, and photography. Fishing is a popular local pastime, with several public boat ramps nearby providing access to the river and bay system. For a bit of local history, the Wallisville Heritage Park offers a glimpse into the region’s past, while the nearby Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge is famous for its diverse alligator population and scenic boardwalks.

Who This Park Is Best For

Rio RV Park is an ideal fit for extended-stay workers employed in the nearby industrial corridors who need a quiet, dependable place to rest. It also serves as an excellent stopover for cross-country travelers seeking a secure and professionally managed site along the I-10 corridor. Nature lovers and birders will appreciate the proximity to world-class wildlife refuges, making it a strategic choice for those who prefer tranquil coastal environments over crowded, high-activity tourist resorts.

Great little place! We just moved our 5th wheel in... a beautiful place! Unfortunately the internet is terrible, had to get a separate T-Mobile modem cause my Verizon phones doesn't work at all! A bit loud with 1-10 right there!

The stay was great. The only two issues I can identify are the cones from cypress trees coated the concrete and left shoes and pets’ feet layered in resin. The patio became flooded and held a lot of water after a heavy rain. These are minor issues. The laundry was nice and bathhouse was clean. Thank you.

Rio sits on beautiful Turtle Bayou. Staff was great. Was so very peaceful. We fished from the front of the space we had. When we get another travel trailer, we will go back to Rio.

Very convenient rv park for any one traveling through Texas on I-10. I called late in day but they didn’t mind. They came over to site they assigned me. Checked me in and then owner offered to close water value underneath my sprinter. Someone forgot to close it so all my water was gone! Thanks Wendy and Ricky.

The location is beautiful. The slots are easy to access, even at night. The park manager is super helpful and kind. The hookups are good. Access to the freeway is great, but the highway road noise is minimal. The park restrooms and bathhouses are great. We will stay here again for longer than one night.
