This was such a beautiful campground right on the river. So sorry to hear it was destroyed in the floods. We wish the owners and residents the best in moving forward with their lives. We will cherish our memories from there.

We have been going here the past five years and have loved it. We always would get cabin #55 on the river. The cabin sleeps 6 people with a full kitchen. It has a screened in back porch that overlooks the Broad River. A set of stairs goes down to the river with a fire pit which is very scenic. There are campsites for campers as well as tent sites that have a covered shelter. With the recent hurricane Helene that came in, the campground has suffered major damage. I hope the campground gets help with rebuilding and opens again. Jeff and Cindy are wonderful people and hope to come back there next year.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at a tent sight with water and electricity! Very spacious and clean! Grounds was well kept! Clean restrooms! Dog walk was perfect! Staff were amazing and friendly !! Other people there was very friendly as well!! Can’t wait to go back !!

The owner has done so much to the grounds since we have been coming several years. Would love to see more water in river for tubing. Also better access to river with less undergrowth of foliage. We enjoyed our 3 day stay@

We loved our stay here. It was quite and relaxing. Management was friendly. Cabin 50 was cute and the perfect size for me and my husband. We were just really looking for a place to lay our heads after a day of hiking up at Chimney Rock. So the smaller cabin was fine for us. We definitely will be staying again.

My husband and I have been here 3 times now over the past 7 years. Everytime has been great! We have been lucky enough to have been some of the only people there. We love to pitch a tent by the water. We have our own fire ring, water spigot, and electrical outlet. There are showers and bathrooms on site. The owner Jeff is always very kind to us. We will always choose this place for outdoor camping.

Great people, great price, flat lots, full hookups for RV. Sites are right off the river with plenty places to access it. The river is downstream from a Lake Lure dam. It's often ankle deep and gets to be about 3 foot deep when the damn is open. Great spot for kayaking or tubing.

Been coming here for almost 30 years. Started out bringing my daughter till she outgrew the camping phase. Absolutely love it. The owners are awesome people. Clean bath house. Wonderful place to kick back relax and have fun at the same time....I'll keep coming back as long as I'm able.

This is one of the best campgrounds I've ever stayed at! I honestly don't understand the negative reviews about the owners - all the people I've met here have been incredibly friendly and helpful. On top of the amazing tent camping sites (waterfront, with electric and water, and with covered area), there is also a nice office which has many of the essentials you may need. Strongly recommended!
