The park is located quite a ways from the beaten path The roads in from I 64 have no shoulders. Once you cross the bridge from Alderson the track is single lane all the way to the park. There is a short section of gravel road with some pot holes that should be filled. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are graveled and in good condition. Our site, 03, was a gravel based back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. Some sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was clean and well groomed. The river views are fantastic. The park is quiet and restful. There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult. There are NO washrooms or showers. You must be self contained. There are Kayak and Canoe rentals on site. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $49.82. per night (inc tax) and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again

Stayed here for the first time August 2025 for a week. We pulled a 30' toy hauler with our motorcycle to do some riding while were there. Absolutely loved our stay! We had no problem getting there. To us, the roads weren't scary coming in. We came in from I64. Joe the owner wasn't in when we got there. He left us a great packet of the surrounding area and we gave him a quick call when we arrived. My husband ended up going out riding with Joe one of the days we were there. He was very nice. The river was fantastic and quite clear! There is a road on the other side of the river. You do hear cars on the road but it didn't bother us. We will definitely be returning to camp here. I wish we lived closer than 7 hours or we would stay a few times a year instead of just once a year. Also wanted to add. I live in an area where mosquitoes will eat you alive when you'd like to hang outside. When I was here for the week, I didnt get bit one time. It was very surprising being so close to water.

Lovely, small campground. We loved it! Quiet and small. Well-maintained with a great riverwalk and rocky beach area, where our dogs were able to swim.

We had a wonderful time at this campground. It’s in a beautiful area right next to the Greenbrier River with easy river access. Each spot has a fire pit, picnic table, and full hookups. There is a playground and pavillion area too. It’s also only about 23 minutes away from Lewisburg and the same distance from the WV renaissance festival. The owners were friendly but also gave us privacy. We would highly recommend and stay again!

We had a wonderful experience at River Ridge! It has the best little area along the Greenbrier River for easy kayaking, fishing or floating in inner tubes. We even rented a kayak for few hours and put in up the river passes the people bridge and came out right back at the campground an hour later. The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful, even after office hours with firewood. Everyone around us were other families and made for a great atmosphere. Quiet hours were well respected and it was always very clean. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful, quiet campground right in the middle of the West Virginia mountains! Joe was a wonderful host that had to deal with a bad driver that took out part of his fence. 🙄😐😳 If you're in the area of Alderson, Lewisburg, or even visiting the New River Gorge, you should definitely stay here!!

Lovely little campground with great hosts! Joe was amazing and went above and beyond. Initially we were only booked for 2 nights but due to truck trouble we ended up staying a week and boy am I thankful to have got to stay longer! Charming, peaceful, quaint. The kids enjoyed the river and playground. Sites are plenty roomy with gravel. No bathhouse and only one set of washer and dryers with not laundry facilities close by. Not much of anything close by but that’s the charm of this place. It’s a true gem. I’m so thankful to have stumbled across this campground. It’s not your typical hustle and bustle campground. It’s safe and quiet. Going on the list of must returns. Site 13 at the end was very spacious, all sites have great shade. No great view of the river due to rig positioning but all the other sites seemed to have a nice view of the river.

Best campground ever! Owners are super nice and the grounds are very well kept. The swimming is amazing and the sites are great. My kids had an amazing time the 6 nights that we were there making friends with all of the campers coming and going. The pavilion is beautiful and the swings are great. My kids loved the swing/play set. Super safe place for riding bikes. My son also caught his first fish. It rained the last day so we went bowling. Tons of site seeing to do around the campground. We will most definitely be back next year!. Thank you for an amazing campground visit!
