I have been renting a canoe from River View, for a September or October float, for probably 10 years or more now. I love this place. One noticeable thing, over the years, is the constant improvement they make to their site. Something is always being done to benefit their customers. They have the newest/cleanest bathrooms and showers I've encountered in a campsite / canoe livery. As for the canoeing, they offer fiberglass canoes, and what I really like is that the bus ride is at the beginning of the trip, rather than the end. A short 20 minute bus ride gets you to the Greenwood launch for the long trip, and then you end up at their campground. No waiting for a bus to take you back to your car. The Rifle is a great mix of slow float, maneuvering around some downed trees and boulders, and also some shallow rapids with rocks/boulders to avoid. And every year, there are eagles, great blue herons, and kingfishers accompanying the journey. Also, when on the Greenwood trip, the Moffatt launch (origin of the short trip) is a great spot to stop for lunch. Definitely give River View a try!

Campground was nice - definitely get a site along the river. Tubing was awesome. Weekends are packed - every campsite was booked. River was really crowded, due to all the other outfitters in the area. Weekdays are 10-20% occupied. Great time had by all - but we are definitely going during the week next year.

We stayed here for a few nights, and went down the river in kayaks. When we were there it had just rained, so the river was nice and full, and we didn't have any troubles. Campground was a little noisy, but nothing out of the ordinary. There are plenty of showers, and bathrooms close by. There's an "arcade" with a pool and air hockey table, and a few other games. There's a well stocked store with almost everything you would need. Helpful if you forgot something. Overall we had an awesome time.

Very friendly and organized!! They are not over corporate!! We did not camp, we tubed. We wanted to extend our tubing trip, we called the call button at the 1st stop and they happily said we could continue without issue (would cost us the extra for the extension-no biggie!)!! The store is well stocked with goodies, last-minute needs, and souvenirs :) They have water shoes for the river~ If you don't have them-buy them! The staff is VERY friendly and helpful! They will make sure you get with your group reservation :)

We did not stay in a room. We stayed on a water and electric site . Wow, wow, wow, absolutely the best campground i have ever stayed in. we camp a lot all over the state .we had a large group with us 16 total .super clean restrooms and shower houses . We did the tubing while we were there so much fun. What an experience. The front office store, ect, was like a 5 start hotel set up . Very well organized grounds and area . We also brought motorcycles with us so we all could ride the area. No complaints were made about us . Met a lot of friendly people, aka other campers Highly recommend staying here . Hope to see you there because we will be back very soon.

We only rented Kayaks, we didn't camp here. Facilities seemed well maintained, staff was friendly and the price was good.

Went to River View for the first time for Labor Day weekend this year. Overall it was great! The location was lovely, the bathrooms and showers were clean, the store was very well stocked, there were dumpsters easily accessible. Check in was easy and all trips to the store went well. The river trip was great; the river was clean and wide and there wasn’t much debris like a bunch of gross fallen trees and stuff to hit. Our only complaints were that we had to buy wood from the campground and we spent the ENTIRE weekend trying so hard to get it to light and it just smoked. Like smoked so bad I had to go home and shower, rinse out my eyes (which I also did with a water bottle at the site a few times), and wash everything I brought. I’ve camped a lot and that was the smokiest fire I have ever encountered because the wood was wet all the way through. We spent a lot of extra money on fire starter stuff the entire weekend but the only time we ever had one at all was when our neighbor took pity and gave us some of their wood (which was not from the campground). It was extremely frustrating. Plus the fire pit itself was wonky. Very narrow and the wood they gave us was very long it didn’t even fit. I also spent months emailing them ahead of time to coordinate the trip and that was hard because every single time I asked anything, they would answer part of a question or just one of a few and I had to email them again and again and again to re-ask the same questions they could’ve just answered in the first place, which was also incredibly annoying. We had a lovely time otherwise; we even had really rowdy neighbors way late at night and drove to the front for assistance and the security guard was so helpful and took us seriously. Stopped at the bathroom on the way back and when we got back from even that short trip, the music was off. We would go back for sure (but we would probably sneak in our own wood tbh sorry).

Stayed a few days. The campground is nice. We stayed a cabin #6. The microwave didn't work and it was replaced the same day. If you like semi roughing it this is your place. Cooked over the campfire. Only cold water in the cabin. So glad it had it's own toilet. We took a kayak trip with our stay. So peaceful we had the river basically to ourselves. (Tuesday trip)

Loved the campsites but not the push button showers. Having a ton of long hair, I hated that I had to keep pushing the button every 20 seconds for water. It took forever to rinse out my shampoo. But overall, nice place and we would camp here again!!

Gorgeous setting especially if you like time on the river. Other activities on site or nearby. RV sites adequate but you may need to allow for leveling. Septic access is above ground so you'll need the tube lifts in many cases. Additional fees for WiFi and firewood. Restrooms clean but showers are separate from toilets and are not equipped with seating. Check pricing. Our party of 6, 4 adults and 2 children with RV and tents became 3 sites with complete hookups, was $100 per night. We only needed 2 sites at most. Basic fees with additional costs per person. Fees for tubing are extra. There are two sections with one geared for families. Seasonal sites too. Quiet times observed. On-site security.

The sites are large and right on the river with fantastic views. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue is that no generators are aloud and the prices are high for what you get.

Highly recommend. We have been coming here for the past 5 years and have always had a great time. Sites are very spacious and well maintained. Haven’t used bathhouses but haven’t heard complaints from those in our group that have. Staff is very nice and they do a great job of making your stay enjoyable. Make sure to book your river trip and purchase equipment as early as possible. They sell out fast. Also, go in knowing they are a little understaffed because of Covid (not their fault) so bring patience and be kind - you’re on vacation. We are already booked and paid for next year. Looking forward to it.
