It's an all right campground. One of those that doesnt have greeters. Took money out of my account 3 days before we got there. Probably won't go back there.

SAD that we paid for five nights at what used to be such a wonderful place to visit with family and friends made over the years! Unfortunately this park is no longer a place to enjoy! The lots are not being kept in working order and I was told we were at their mercy, and nothing we could do about it! We only stayed two nights and while we were loading up to go stay a night elsewhere, the same unfriendly woman insisted on taking down our paperwork for a site that was paid for thru Sunday! Had to walk away from this very rude woman telling us we would have to notify her if we returned to our site and then she would put our paperwork back on our site that we paid for!

Great RV park just at the base of the mountain road (246) up to Highlands. Easily get 50a full hookup paved spaces for WEEKS at a time for around $50-70 a night. Online reservations and contactless check in, super simple and easy living here under all the waterfalls and fresh breeze. Property is right beside Julep Farms and an easy 5-15 drive away from Restaurants and shopping in Dillard, Clayton, and Black Rock Mountain state park. Be aware: speed limits are SLOW AND STRICTLY ENFORCED ALL AROUND forget 55, you’ll be driving through 25, 30, 35 and at best 45 mph zones. All the cops are parked alongside all the roads, all the curves, just waiting for you to accidentally top 45 mph here. Otherwise, this is the VERY BEST RV park anywhere near Highlands NC that serves rigs other than just Class As. Tons of family fun tubing, skylines, waterfalls and hiking trails just a few minutes drive away. Many of the lots are for sale even ($55-90k), including a handful of beautiful tiny cabins with gorgeous landscaping ($250-300k). Don’t scoff, that’s a deal in today’s crazy housing market in GA!

I just want to let everyone know, although River Vista refund policy is stated, there seems to be no exceptions. I did not sign their agreement. After making reservation and the day before our arrival date, my wife’s sister had a turn for the worst relating to her cancer. I really have no problem losing my down payment, but I have been charged the full amount of the four night stay. I’m just thankful I didn’t reserve a week or more.

We arrived and our site information and campground map were in the holder by the office door as promised. No need to “check in.” The campground and private home park are immaculate. Very well kept and clean. The “spa” which really is a very good sized indoor swimming pool was heated and the bubblers running. Which was very nice as we are at the very beginning of the camping season and there were VERY few other campers present. We only stayed one night but we absolutely would stay there again.
