Great campground next to a beautiful river. Sites are good size and the views are fantastic along the river. Staff are great and the campground was in fantastic condition. WE will be back again to enjoy this place.

I drove all the way there to check it out as a possible spot for a seasonal stay for 2026. I didn't get to see the Campground because I wasn't allowed to go past the office/guard house. Apparently, one is only allowed to do a drive or walk thru on certain days no matter how far you drove to look at the Campground. They have a ton of rules. Some seemed to be overkill. I have to say, I don't know if its a good place or not. I wasn't allowed to see the property layout. I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling with my brief encounter there.

It’s a nice place. However, they NEED to upgrade their electrical service. Never have I been to a campground with under 100v. AC will barely function and it’s terrible for your unit to run on voltage that low. Community sewer hose at the dump station is gross. I’ve never seen that anywhere else.

Nice campsite, great access to New Haven and Otter creek rivers. Only one building for facilities, which made it inconvenient depending on where you were located.

My family - and the families of several good friends - have been visiting River's Bend several times a year for many years and always enjoy our time there. The campground sits in a beautiful location at the juncture of the New Haven River and Otter Creek, is well maintained - including numerous upgrades since the new ownership took over the property - and has hosts who work hard to ensure all their guests are able to enjoy their stay. I'd highly recommend this campground, and look forward to our next stay!

So rude & disrespectful. Whoever said “don’t listen to the bad reviews, it’s under new management!” You’re WRONG. We stopped in earlier in the day to discuss check-in prior to checking in; the man who owns the campground rudely snapped “there’s no check ins till 1”. We told him that we know, we just wanted to ask a few questions since we were driving by. He snapped at us there are no check ins until one again, ignoring everything we said. There’s no visitors allowed after 7 (what campground does that? We don’t even get out of work until 6! Not to mention it doesn’t get dark until after 9) and all visitors, regardless of time of day, can’t drive into the campground at all. You have to park at the entrance & have whoever rented the site drive you in. In conclusion, this campground is small, extremely strict, overpriced & has no sense of hospitality in any regard. For the love of god, don’t stay here. (Unless you want chuckles riding up in his clown car to yell at you)

We stayed at this immaculate, park like campground while attending Middlebury College reunion. Clean, quiet and well managed; this facility offers spacious, shade dappled spots along the creek’s edge. The owner and staff was very helpful and courteous. Highly recommend!

The best! Just don't go in September. We don't want to lose out on reservations!

Absolutely beautiful place, tucked into the woods, large grass sites and ours was directly on the riverbank. Our site was dead level (left to right). We went swimming in the beautiful river. Would definitely come back here again. 4-star due to: no online reservation system. only one use of dump station. Coin operated showers. Only one device on WiFi. It would be easier to manage and happier customers by simply raising the overnight cost by $1-3 across the board and including all those one-offs.
