This is by far the most homey and well taken care of property I’ve seen traveling through New York. I would choose to stay here again before going to any corporate place. I’m bummed I’m missing their themed Halloween weekend and they had super fun decorations and plans! Lots of nice to walk my dog and for her to roll in. Super clean and very peaceful by the water/boats. All the workers and owners were the absolute nicest people and you can tell they actually care about the property and guests. Thank you for a great time!

Nasty Pit toilets, dirty showers. But happy people, go figure? So the campground has some features like a pool, and then a dance music thing once a week, but some of them happy people dancing have blow up dolls. Lol! There’s featured loads of activities and a pretty nice boat area. As long as your camp trailer is looked up you’ll be fine and those nasty wash rooms can be avoided. Camp store is well stocked up, and manager very helpful. All the restaurants in town are five miles away and very good. We left after a night

This park has a charm about it. The location is serene. The owners are great also but the amenities are sub par. The facilities are absolutely disgusting. Dirty even though "cleaned". The showers back up and have a sewage odor. The water is unusable for drinking and cooking. You don't get what you pay for. It is advertised with electric and water, but again the green water isn't usable. The "party" pavilion, call it what it is, makes sites 6 and 7 look ghetto. And the quiet hours are not observed bothering these two sites and the ones near are excessively loud. Just an observation, a new location across from the office would be a better spot for this building and it's activities. The pool was green and nasty looking. Some sort or water treatment system needs to be added to the whole park to make it a more accommodating and an enjoyable stay. With some upgrades this could be a superior camp grounds, but as of now it is mostly a seasonal campers party paradise, not enjoyable for week enders. I am not sure with its issues how it gets so many 5 star reviews. We have been there 3 times, and the last was the last as it was the worst.

Oh how i want to give a better review. This is a beautiful campground. So much wildlife and beautiful, well kept grounds. I just can't get past the water issue. Brownish yellow water, couldn't use it for coffee or drinking, which is supposed to be included in a "water and electric" site. The pool area was so well kept, however, the water was green. When we were leaving, I tried using the advertised restrooms next to the office, but there were none. I then went down the road to the bathrooms there, which was a well covered outhouse. And don't get me started on the showers. Smelled like sewage and the drain backed up so that I was standing in the brownish yellow water. I felt I needed a shower after my shower. I know, its camping, supposed to rough it a bit. But we've been camping for awhile now, been to alot of campgrounds and never experienced brownish yellow water. Maybe well try again in a few years, but we've got to give this place a rest.......

What a gem of a campground! Sandy and Eric are delightful and very helpful. We needed a jump for our tow vehicle and they helped us immediately and with smiles. They make you feel like you are coming home and as full-time RVers, that is so appreciated! Park offers a pool, a few ponds, is on the canal and nestled within the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. Themed events all the time, the seasonal folks are super friendly and welcoming. I have nothing negative to say about this beautiful park.
