We had a lovely, peaceful, relaxing week at River's Edge Campground. A beautiful view of the river greets you every morning. The staff is great, the campground is clean and quiet, we loved our time here. This was our second stay and we definitely look forward to returning next October.

We had a wonderful stay at Rivers Edge. It is a beautiful setting, right on the Bay river. Great docks and a boat ramp. We'll definitely fish next time. There are many permanent campers but we had no trouble booking a site last minute. The camp hosts are incredible and very accomodating. Everyone there is so friendly. I could rock on the covered river front shelter for hours! Very peaceful!! The only reason I gave 4 stars is there are only 2 bathrooms, one men, the other womens. They were very clean but frequently occupied. We have a camper van, not a full hook up RV. I imagine this could be a real problem on a busy week/weekend. We prefer camping when its not busy so certainly not a deal breaker. We plan on returning with other camper friends of ours!

We absolutely loved our weekend stay at this Rivers Edge house! The home is right on the water with a gorgeous big porch overlooking the river—perfect for morning coffee or just watching the boats go by or even napping. The nautical décor gave it such a cozy, coastal feel, and everything inside was spotless. The area was incredibly peaceful—almost unbelievably quiet—which made it the perfect escape. The fenced-in yard was great for pets, and the house being raised up gave us covered parking and a nice shaded hangout space. We also enjoyed the large fire pit in the yard and had a fire both nights. The dock was another highlight—whether fishing (which was good!) or just sitting and soaking in the view. Inside, the house has plenty of space with 2 bedrooms, 2½ baths, and a large open kitchen that flows into the dining and living area. The many windows let in lots of natural light and gave us constant views of the water. It’s tucked off the main road, adding to the quiet, and the staff at Rivers Edge Campground were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. All in all, a perfect spot for relaxing, fishing, or just enjoying the beauty of the river. We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay at River4's Edge. The campground is amazing. The people are friendly. The boat ramp is convenient and the dock is sufficient for boats, fishing, shrimping, and just sitting to watch the water. We look forward to coming back next year and enjoying it all over again! And, the pool will be a welcome addition!

Quiet and peaceful ! The staff and other campers were extremely helpful and polite. We were just sightseeing and visiting area for first time..We will be back and stay again..Great place and great employees, even our dog enjoyed the 'doggy park! '....Thank You All

Everything was very clean. The laundry room was easy to use, the bathrooms were clean and private, and the ice could be purchased at any time of the day. Great boat launch.

We just left River's Edge Family Campground. This was our first visit here. The campground is clean and quiet with a beautiful area to sit on swings and rocking chairs under a pavilion overlooking the River. The fishing pier was really nice and we even saw dolphins 🐬. We both caught some fish and a special thank you to George who helped us with rigs. The office staff was very friendly including beautiful Marsha ! Marsha ! Marsha ! A great atmosphere !!

We were very happy about this camping grounds. The owners were there. They are extremely nice and personable. It was memorial day weekend. 5/24,25,26/2025. From the start they have extra helpers there in case you need assistance. We rented a 50 amp full hook up site. The weekend was a special, all campers invited to the dinner. Everyone brought a dish to pass, and they provided the drinks(we had water, lemonade, ice tea) They provided the delicious coated chicken. The campers whom we spoke with were all decent and well mannered. We fished on the long dock. I even saw marine life.It was amazing. We plan on going again in the future.

Clean, friendly atmosphere. Waterfront has a beautiful boardwalk for enjoying a little fishing or simply watching the sunrise. We met some great folks and enjoyed talking about our life experiences. A family friendly place you would love to visit year after year.

My book about how wonderful this place is. The first time we came we were a bit worried as we drove through town, it was our first time to the coast of NC. We have stayed at so many campgrounds across the US, usually a ‘name brand’ and a Good Sam. I found this place on Google. Yes, it is a bit small BUT YALL!! It is so awesome! After the first weekend, I had to come back! We discussed with the owners about leaving our fifth-wheel 40’ camper at the same spot so we could return in a few weeks. The couple who own the park are so easy to converse with, not ‘up-tight’. They allow long stays and well behaved animals. The evening is quiet hour and I mean SILENT! I slept so well. The campground is very well maintained. The power is reliable and safe. The water hookups are perfect. They have cable but the antenna picks up many channels. Tent camping is safe here. Everyone is friendly; so if you aren’t, it isn’t for you. We brought our boat out and the water is great and fish do bite here! They have a launch and dock with a fishing/swimming pier. Low rates because they don’t have the frilly name and other not-so-necessary things. They are adding some things but it won’t take away from the peacefulness. I am going to keep coming back! This is a 100% hidden gem.
