Took advantage of a Valentine’s special in the North Hardtop. Jude, the manager, was very accommodating and hospitable. She made sure to mention some local vendors and restaurant recommendations. Communication was great and booking was easy. The view of the river was beautiful. The Hardtop is nicely appointed with kitchen essentials and a cooktop. The BBQ is a large 4 burner grill with a side burner. The patio is quite spacious. The hardtop is a great combination of campfire smores with the benefit of indoor plumbing! The highlight was definitely the wood-fired cedar sauna, it was so relaxing after a long day. They are pet-friendly It was an amazing weekend retreat!

What an amazing welcome, and support for parking our Campervan. The site is perfect, a short drive from the Rockies, just outside of town but with so many amenities. The site had power and water (which we didn’t need) the toilets and showers were immaculate and well maintained. We are in winter but plan to come back in spring/ summer. Plus an amazing sunrise to welcome you to the day.

My "rooms" rating refers to the individual campsites (excellent sites for all types of vehicles). The entire facility is 'Five Star.' I had a minor glitch/complexity regarding the gate-card access system for short-term visitors. This has been satisfactorily resolved by the helpful staff and management. For anyone driving the gorgeous Rocky Mountain House/ David Thompson highway route through the Rockies this campground is highly recommended.

We spent a wonderful week at Black Sheep. The site was nicely shaded and covered in thick grass. The facilities were clean and located conveniently. The parks proximity to the river made for delightful walks with our dog. My only lament was the Dog Run. It was not fenced to keep dogs in. Our hound went right through it and onto the street while chasing a squirrel.

We camped here at the end of June. Unfortunately we had a serious electrical issue as we were setting up. Jamie was incredible with helping us, along with a couple who have a permanent site there. We were very grateful for their help and follow up after we left. Subsequently, we didn’t get to relax and enjoy the campsite as this happened as we were setting up, so we left early. But we could see the large grassy area and playground that was excellent for families. In the area we were, the sites are very close together so you have to be ok with that. The grounds and washrooms are very well maintained and the store had some great items in it. Hopefully we’ll be back someday and can relax and enjoy this campsite and area. Thanks again for your help, Jamie and Jude.
