Rochester / Marion KOA Journey
Rochester/Marion KOA is the perfect country quiet setting campground with no planes or trains!
Sit by your campfire and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful country setting. Enjoy your morning coffee, as you plan your next day's journey to one of the many biking and hiking trails, Amish area and Bluff Country. Maybe a game of golf at one of the many golf courses in the area is what you are looking for? We are a short 10 min drive to all of your shopping needs.
We are the perfect place for your vacation away from the city! Our lush, green grass feels great underfoot, while playing a round of Frisbee golf, game of badminton, or volleyball while the children play in the playground.
Or perhaps a dip in the pool is the therapy you need. For groups, we provide a meeting room that is air conditioned and heated. We are where fond memories are made, laughter is heard and friends are found.

Parking large trailers may require you to put on your driving gloves. The park has tighter egress in some areas but the staff will eagerly offer spotting assistance when maneuvering. So dont expect to be coming in there with your poor towing tactics, not cutting the wheel correctly, and getting the trailer in a sticky situation. You know who you are. I have been to one trailer park in Duluth called Fond Du Lac. The degree of difficulty for manuvering there is master level. Trees all over and in close proximity at all times. This park is more like a medium degree of difficulty. Looks like a great place for creating memories with the family. Many folks seamed to come with the whole family for just the weekend. The laundry room on site is highly suitable but is higher priced. I believe it was over $6 for a wash and I cannot recall the dryer price. I just remember burning through my stash of quarters like I was trying to gamble back my gambling losses with more losses. There's a small store in the office for odds and ends and even RV parts/maintenance supplies. Mitch and Shelly were the only staff I encountered and were both engaging and authenticly empathetic.

Smaller KOA that would normally be right off 90, but due to construction there was a painful detour to get there, and to get to town from there. Campground is in the middle of residential neighborhood. There is a very small store in the office, but not much available and was smelly. Our site was nice, thankfully no one immediately next to us. They have a pool & playground (we did not use either). Restrooms were ok. It was an ok overnight stop, but not somewhere we would go as a destination.

Our stay at **KOA/Rochester** was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to our wonderful host, **Barb**. She greeted us with a warm welcome, personally guided us to our site, and has even in the past brought firewood right to our door—her helpfulness and attention to detail made us feel right at home. Barb consistently went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. The campground itself is **beautifully landscaped**, with **large, well-maintained sites** that provide plenty of space and privacy. The grounds are immaculate, and the entire property feels inviting and peaceful. A real standout is the **bathroom and shower facilities**—the best we've ever seen at a KOA. The showers are **spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed**, featuring plenty of hooks, outlets, and shelves for your belongings. There’s even a bench in the shower that’s actually close enough to use comfortably, a detail that shows how much the staff cares about camper comfort. Whether you’re traveling as a family or solo, KOA/Rochester offers a welcoming atmosphere, top-notch amenities, and the kind of personal service that turns a good camping trip into a great one. **Barb’s dedication and the pristine facilities make this KOA a true gem.** We can’t wait to return!

We have stayed here on and off three months for the Mayo Clinic. We highly recommend the location. (We don’t have kids with us so I cannot speak to those amenities, but the pool was always busy when we walked by.) We have a 45 ft coach. Enjoyed our clean, level asphalt pad looking at beautiful pine trees. All the lots have good spacing, ours had a fire pit. Very private and quiet campground. They just installed three new concrete luxury lots with solo fire pits and furniture. If you are going to Mayo Clinic this is the place to be, easy 15-20 minute drive. It was so welcoming to come back and have a campfire at our own place vs. staying at a hotel. Barb and Roger were extremely gracious hosts, even hand delivering our mail. The service they gave us was so appreciated. A very green, peaceful location. We will be back.

Our family of 5 stayed in a cabin at this KOA for one night. Check-in was a breeze and they were very friendly and welcoming. The cabin and site were fine. I was disappointed to find the last guest’s trash hadn’t been removed from the cabin, but easy to fix. There was a dorm-sized fridge in the cabin that was unplugged when we arrived. This made it useless, as it never reached a cold temperature during our stay. The A/C worked well. The pool is large and the restrooms were exceptionally clean. $9 for a bundle of firewood is a bit steeper than we’ve paid anywhere else, but it served its purpose. We would stay again.
