We held a church camping weekend at Rockahock. We had people lodging in RVs, Villas, Cottages, Yurts, and Riverhouses. All the accomodations were excellent. We enjoyed all the campground had to offer from kayaking, volleyball, playground, camp fires, the beach and just walking around. The Rockadome was a great spot for our potluck dinner. We love the facility but the staff is really what sets Rockahock apart. Everyone is friendly and helpful!

We loved staying here. This was our second time and we were going to add it to our list of regulars. It was nice, friendly, and quiet. Unfortunately we were told that our little jeep wasn’t allowed in the campground after confirming during check in that it was. We even paid the 25 dollar fee that is required. Not sure why. It’s no different than a golf cart. It’s small quiet and slow. Just looks different. We will have to find a new place to camp.

Stayed in the monthly rv sites for 2 months, absolutely no space. They are angled perfect to park my 43 foot rv. And there’s space for your 2 vehicles. The spot itself is big. The entertainment area is the back of your neighbor. And you get close and personal with your back neighbor too. I meant my patio/dining table was right next door to the poop hose and neighbors hookups were 3 feet away from my front door. It was nice telling my kids to stay away from the sockets every five minutes. Everyone thought it was okay to walk through my site so I couldn’t just be outside with my dog. A teenager almost clothe lined himself in the neck running with my dogs leash while we had a fire going outside. The amenities all clean and if you had a problem maintenance wastes no time fixing it. Staff is so nice and felt no hate from the staff in fact they go out of their way to be nice. When I think of Christians this is the image a true Christian should be. Unfortunately other residents weren’t too kind to us because we are a two mom family. The weekly sites are beautiful and shaded and spaced out. There’s a small beach and fishing dock and pool. The WiFi was amazing !

I would like to include how management communicates (please see picture.) I came in before day light hit and did not observe a sign. Secondly, I wasn’t blocking anyone. Management called the police, who were amazing. They said this is par for the course with the staff. Just wanted to draw attention to the fact that there are a lot of choices on where to camp and this staff isn’t deserving of employment.

Spent 4 days at the campground and absolutely loved it. A lot of amenities, a location directly on the river and still close to anything that you would need. 👍🏼

I would like to respond to Amanda Rodriguez’s post on the Rockahock campground site. She said they were kicked out due to overbooking and that’s a lie. Her so called boyfriend almost hit us when we on stopped at the railroad tracks coming in. He was behind us and when we started over the tracks he sped by us and dropped in a little ditch and threw gravel up and sped off. We had 4 people In our truck that was witness to it all. The tracks are wide enough for one vehicle. We have lost too many people at those tracks and we always stop at them. We rode around to try and find him and when we did the cops were already there responding to a domestic call. They were drunk and that was the second call the police got that night on them. The following Saturday night they were drunk again and the police had to be called. The lady at the office (Becky) can only tolerate so much as she is trying to protect the other campers here. We do not need drunks and rude people to disrupt our little community. It seems y’all have problems wherever you go and rest assure we don’t want you back here. Rockahock Campground is a great place to stay and they work hard to make improvements.

We have stayed at this campground for years. One year we had to deal with a mosquito infestation but they were very accommodating to us and we realized that it was not entirely their fault. The next year, there was a bed bug issue. Again, they were accommodating. Now the customer service of this place has gone out the window. You can never get anyone to answer the phone or return a call promptly. We have even had reservations and then at last minute were told that our reservation would be canceled to allow them to accommodate a blue grass festival leaving us high and dry. NO MORE ROCKACOCK CAMPGROUND FOR US!! We will now be using the Rivers Rest Resort on the over side of the river and suggest all fellow fisherman to do the same!!! This place has admitted they DO NOT CARE about fisherman - despite being located on a river used by fisherman!!

We loved our stay here! The staff treats you like family, and I'm not just saying that. As soon as we pulled in, a neighbor immediately asked us if we needed help setting up. This isnt just a campground, this is a community. Everything is convenient and all you need is right there within the campground. We weren't able to visit the restaurant, but I heard the food was great! This place definitely deserves a 5 star review
