Spent a night here in late September 25'. It was great. Quiet, the temperature was hot during the day and cool at night. The gift shop had a lot of stuff. The grounds were well kept and the employees were very helpful. Definitely want to stay here again.

Nice park. Camping was decent. Pretty crowded and busy. Sites are fairly spacious, but are also packed in. Didn't experience the lake much, but did try some fishing. Unfortunately no luck there. Barely had a few bites. We had site 47, which was decent, but wish we had sites on the other side of the road (44 seemed much nicer and private - backed up against the woods). Restrooms were very clean and the showers were nice, too. Just wish the sites afforded a little more privacy.

We had a good weekend trip to the park. I was pleased with the group spot and other facilities at the park campgrounds. The shower facilities were a bit of a miss. Using the group space was nice, there were even pads for two RVs and extra hookups for power, if you need it. Lots of space for our 20 people, and we could have easily doubled that with room to still hang out. The playground, mini golf, and Frisbee golf are all nice features, but a bit basic. The kids had fun, which is what's important. He mindful of the sun, there's little cover on them so the kids will bake. The movie night was a nice idea, but it started at 9:00 so it was dark enough. Unfortunately the kids were worn out and only two made it through the show. Also, someone decided to light up a cigarette nearby, which bothered a few of them. It was nice having the shop walking distance away for basics you forgot or broke. The shower facilities need repairs. Warning to the guys, as of our visit, shower house #1, shower stall all the way down only does scalding hot water - it's being reported to the park services. Other guests were pretty decent. There's always a few in that dense of an area, but the group grounds we had were more isolated so you didn't have people walking through or close to your space, which was nice. Sunday a few bugged out at 05:00, but the we're as quiet as their turbo diesels could be. For camping, it has a lot of good options if you want to go and chill. There's better spots if you want hiking, but the lake has options to rent boats and stuff. The beach a mile or two down the road is sand on shore, then rocks and mussels so water shoes will come in handy. Worth the trip!

What an amazing park. The back country camp sites are well appointed be prepared to hike and watch for food due to the high bear activity. And remember leave no trace The water is beautiful as well and some secret trails to a climbing area exist but you probably won’t find em. Camp sites have composting toilets and bear boxes

Camped for four nights. The campground has very spacious sites in some areas. Grassy areas are uneven and you really have to watch your step! The campground offered nothing in terms of activities, so if you’re going to; be prepared to make your own fun. Camp store is well stocked and offers hand-dipped ice cream.

Planning to come back in the Fall. Very relaxing and well laid out. Food/store is about 15 minutes away. You have to drive to the trails. Tons of fishing areas. Lots of playgrounds. The check-in has bait, clothes, toys, fishing equipment, ice cream, etc.

It's a beautiful park. Plenty of amenities for campers and day use alike, there's a nice little camp store as well. Only a few short trails, but they are peaceful and not used my most visitors. They are a bit hard to find as they across the street from the main park entrances. Overall, a fairly nice place.
