The lake itself is known for its clarity and rocky shoreline, providing a scenic backdrop for every campsite and cabin on the property, making it a standout stop in the Cormorant Forest Reserve area.

Guests have access to central washrooms and showers, a playground for children, and a convenience store that stocks basic supplies, fishing tackle, and ice to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay in the wilderness.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Fishing is the primary draw here, with the lake being a hotspot for trophy walleye and northern pike. Beyond the water, visitors can explore the rugged terrain or take a short drive to the world-renowned Clearwater Lake Provincial Park, famous for its unique rock caves and incredibly transparent water. The area is also excellent for bird watching and spotting local wildlife, providing endless opportunities for nature photography and outdoor exploration.

Me and my son decided on Rocky Lake Resort because as avid fisherman, smallmouth bass fishing was something we had not tried, and it was on the bucket list. The Lake has some absolutely stunning shoreline scenery, and the fishery is top notch for smallies. I cant speak for walleye and pike as that was not our target species for the trip. Accommodations are older, but very clean and well kept. Prices are very reasonable. Dale and Theresa are absolutely awesome hosts. Both are extremely friendly, accomodating and answered any questions and concerns in short order. I would definitely reccomended this lodge and fishery to anyone. Great times !

Amazing place. I will spend my 3rd year in a row camping here in 2025. Very accommodating and friendly owners. I get a 270 degree lake view from my camper 😍. The water is only 60ft away with a nice flat rocky step in. They even have lake front camp sites for those with smaller campers (mine is 33ft). Forget the government run campground, come here! You’ll thank me later.

This is a fishing and hunting destination in the Canadian Shield. Everything at the Resort is geared to the two main activities. We were in an RV and did not stay in the cabins. The ground is solid rock so you may have areas that are not even and if you are tenting you can have difficulty getting pegs in. The facilities are nicely developed and well maintained. Fire rings are provided and wood is available for purchase. Dale and Theresa really go out of their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay.
