I do not favor posting bad reviews. I actually avoid it. We all have bad days and do not meet standards and I will not judge you from that. However, this place said they would contact me regarding the filth and they didn’t so I am here to share our experience. Last minute decision to stay overnight, these guys had availability. By the way, to this day we are grateful. The check in process was a hassle. Everything is online and there is no cell service. We drove about 10 minutes down the road attempting to check in until we went back to the hotel and went inside a bar for help (who gave us their password to their wifi, not the hotels) to move forward. You don’t get the hotels password to their wifi until you fill out forms ONLINE and upload your drivers license which is 2 separate website links to complete. 30 minutes later we succeeded. Got into the room and it was filthy. Dirt was all over the floor. Hair and crumbs on the floor. Poop inside the toilet. Dead bugs on the window sill. Then… the bed has indentions and my husband and I had to sleep apart lol. I slept solid but we were stuck in those indentions. The sheets has dirt inside of them too. I took videos and sent them to the phone number that messaged us “welcome”. She was sweet and said management would be in touch with us after I let her know our room was filthy and sent her videos but I never heard from anyone. I let her know days afterward that no one had been in touch and still nothing. A side note: there is no privacy. There is a Jack and Jill door that connects you to the next room and you can see into the next room under the door. We even heard their shower curtain slide on the rod. You can hear everything. We would stay again if we were in the same situation as this particular night but if we had other options we would not. From the springs visiting Salida and we were tired with no closer option ♥️

It was wonderful! We stayed in the tree house and it was beautiful. The house was so clean, beds so comfy, awesome shower! It was so comfortable and we had a great time. The kayaks and paddle boards were right there for us to use. The fire pit set up was great! We will definitely be back and with friends.

We enjoyed the stay. It would be great to add more space in the place for children to play

So beyond grateful for the folks at Rocky Top! We found ourselves stranded at 11PM with 3 dogs in our truck. Renee picked up their after hours line and was so gracious and helpful. She made sure we had a safe place to sleep within 20 minutes of us calling. We woke up to the most stunning view, friendly neighbors, and the Arkansas River right in the back yard. Thank you Rocky Top!

An absolutely beautiful location. The river is literally right across the street. You can sit on the porch and listen to it all day. There's a delicious restaurant right near the resort. The lovely little town of Salida is about 15 miles away and is certainly worth a visit. Access to the river next to the cabin isn't ideal for swimming or kids, but it's perfect for fishing. There is perfect access about 4 miles east of the cabin, so it's super close. The cabin itself is cozy and offers everything you need for a short stay. Internet and cell service are spotty and unreliable, but I didn't care too much about that. All in all, I would recommend this cabin. The views are beautiful.
