I rented a double decker pontoon boat back in April for my son’s bachelor party. There were 10 of us going. The boat has a slide from to top deck which was a great idea. The original idea was to enjoy some swimming, jumping off the deck, using the slide but also doing some fishing as most of the guys brought their fishing gear. I have rented pontoons on Roosevelt for years, taking my son and his friends fishing and exploring. When we showed up and got ready to load gear we were informed that we couldn’t bring the fishing gear. Apparently they changed their rules about after 3 experiences with renters fishing and line getting caught in the motor and destroying it cost $2500. Still i found it super hard to believe that I couldn’t fish on a rented boat. Its too bad rules get made to punish the majority when a few incompetent people do the wrong thing. So we left the gear and went and tried to enjoy the day. Right out of the gate we ran into issues with the boat. We got out past the no wake zone and went full throttle to enjoy the ride. Only problem is the throttle wouldn’t hold position, so it had to be held the whole time, which is ridiculous. Then the engine hit a limit which made the boat throttle down like it had broke. Apparently there is a revving limit on the boat. Both are things I have never had to deal with any boat rental I have ever had. We had definitely thought about going back and canceling the day, but instead we went by the dam and had a great time the rest of the day! I was very disappointed with the rules made up for this trip and voiced my disappointment and frustration with the guys loading us out. If I had known of the no fishing off the boat earlier I would have switched our trip to another lake or did a different rental. And apparently the fishing rule was made after i made my reservation. The bright spot is that while we we out there we did get a voice mail from someone in the rental shop. They credited back 50% of the rental and I was happy about that. The guys had a great trip and enjoyed time spent together.

What a breath of fresh air coming to this marina. We are huge fans of lake Powell. But the service we received at Roosevelt versus antelope point is night and day. Lake Powell staff are silent and "just business". Roosevelt was so friendly. They were happy and grateful to have you. It was so cool. It felt like we were locals. They won us over. We will for sure be back often. Amy was our favorite in the general store.

Nice Lake Views. The lake side rows are electric only with FHU in the back rows. All sites were basically dirt driveways spaced out. Initially they assigned us to be neighbors with the only other campers in a 12 site row. When we requested to be spaced out more, they offered site 2 or 3 which are separated by the road and right next to the lake. Some sites had picnic tables....it looked like they were in the process of adding new tables to the sites. Be sure to visit the Roosevelt Dam and Bridge. Take the Apache Trail road up to the Dam Overlook park for a very interesting view of the backside and water flow that makes the Salt River.

It was a peaceful and quiet visit. It was pretty much a GHOST TOWN… but hey I’m definitely not complaining!!

The staff at the marina were incredible! The hospitality of Dave, Jack, and Daniel were so unbelievably accommodating that I had to praise and thank them multiple times. They provided a thorough safety brief, provided transportation to and from the lot, and were full of laughs and kindness. The boat was in good shape too. Thanks everybody! We had a blast, we're grateful for you, and we'll definitely be back!!

We really love coming to this place and have seen some improvements in progress. It is nice to see the expansion to the marina but we use the camp ground area and it would be nice to see some renovations done there. That is the only thing keeping my review from a full five stars. We were there last fall and the men's bathroom did not have running water to the sinks. The same problem still existed this spring. Since we typically camp in a tent, being able to wash my hands (without going into the women's restroom) would have been nice. The only other thing that would be nice is some kind of water access from the electric only area. It doesn't have to be fancy with a dock or anything. Just clean up that area and put a good path down to the water so folks can put kayaks or paddle boards in the water with out having to haul them to the boat launch. We would like to give a special shout-out to Khaki Cowboy, one of the golf cart drivers. He was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return, and cant wait to see more renovations.

The park is located about 30 miles north of Globe. There is pavement all the way. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are paved until you arrive at the RV Park section then there are some deep ruts to cross. Our site, 19, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is poor for a rural park. Each site has a concrete patio and a fire pit. The base is small pea gravel that tracks everywhere. During our stay there was NO table but, we could see that there we some being assembled so we expect there will be tables in the near future. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was poorly maintained. The fire pit in our site had been moved at least twice before our arrival. I discovered screws and nails around the old pit areas. I took it upon myself to rake and remove as many as I could find. There was also a lot of trash to the rear of our site as well. During our stay we did not see any attempt to clean or maintain the sites. There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite will not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms but we checked and found them clean. There are NO showers available. We expected there to be access to the lake from the park but the only access is at the boat launch area. The shore is rocky but it still would have been nice if there would have been some access away from the boat launch. There is a bar type restaurant and convenience store easily walkable from the RV area. We found this park to be disappointing. The only real pluses are the surrounding scenery and close proximity to the Apache Trail. We paid $75.00 per night and we feel we received very poor value. We will not be back. We will use the RV Park near Tortilla Flats which we found to be clean and well maintained in the past.

This is a perfect place for a small lake experience! Boats, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, camping. There are picnic areas on the beaches, with restrooms, as well as barbecue areas. Make sure you get your pass, this is a beautiful outdoor experience. So if you bring it in, make sure you bring it out! Have fun, and stay safe!

We rented one of the pontoon boats. Everyone was super kind and helpful from the gals in the office to the gentlemen that brought us to the boat itself. 11/10 will definitely go back . The restaurant at the docks was delish opus as well. It was a great time

we had a blast. the weather was great. the boat trips were awesome. they have a shuttle that picks you up at your campsite and takes you to the boat slips and the restaurant and then back to your spot. the best trip we've had in a long time. we love roosevelt lake and would recommend it to everyone
