We truly enjoyed the two day stop over at Roosevelt State Park. Although we didn’t explore the whole park, the campground was terrific and very peaceful. We were right on the water in what appeared to be newly paved full hookup sites. Absolutely perfect! It’s not too far off I20 but tucked far enough back in the woods that you barely hear the highway noise. WalMart is not too far away if you need essentials that you can find at the convenience store right outside the park. We will definitely stop here again if driving thru the area.

We stayed in cabin 3 last week. All the furniture and appliances are brand new. Don’t forget to bring paper towels, a can opener and maybe a dishcloth and dish towel if you don’t want to use the bathroom ones. Otherwise, they had everything we needed already. Even an ice maker in the freezer. We brought our kayak and paddle board and were able to access the lake at the bottom of the hill from our cabin.

Roosevelt State park is a hidden Gem in Middle of Mississippi off I-20 between Jackson Ms. and Meridian Ms. The Cottages have been recently remodeled and was very clean and nice for our family of 6. The Hiking Trails are super nice and you can see all kinds of Natuer and wildlife while walking them. The lake has many docks and piers you can fish off or tie a boat or kayak too. Our family enjoys this experience so much we are all ready talking about next year's trip. Thanks you to all the staff and park rangers we interacting with yall were so kind and knowledgeable.

It’s a beautiful park. The RV spots look new or newly renovated with full hook ups. We went in the off season so most of the normal amenities weren’t available but they have a pool and water slide and kayaks to rent.
