First time camping here and overall it was okay. The campsites are very sloped and tight, be prepared to jack your camp up by feet not inches to get level. Also, they do not have cement slabs for campers. Beach and playground are nice. No put put golf. Alot of port a potties. Staff was very nice and accommodating. They do have a small dog run by the main entrance. Please put on your reservation site regarding which sites have steep slopes.

North Bathhouse is closed. Heard plan is to demolish? The portable toilets were only being cleaned one a week. They need to up the contract to twice a week. They were full by Friday. Overfull by Saturday. Lots of tent campers there. The putt putt is also closed. Under renovations maybe? The staff was very kind and helpful this year.

The Park is great. The commissioners never want to do updates, staff is hard to get, changes managers one after another because commissioners don't want to put the money back into the park. 50 years of camping I've seen a lot. Many years of great times. This park would be even better if updated. A friend who's been 20+ years couldn't put up a review on the site. So here it is: Our family had 8 campsites rented. We were all eating lunch together 40 people and I got a phone call saying that it was unacceptable to have the many people on 2 sites that I needed to either rent a pavilion or tell people to leave. Needless to say we all stayed for lunch. A few weeks prior a county commissioner had 38 ppl one 1 site for his birthday and not one word was ever said to him. Isn’t it strange how that works. We have been coming here for 20 plus years and absolutely love the park.
