Beautiful area. Been coming here for 20 years. Campground fills up fast. But cool area!

We came across a young male moose on a hike out here one day. It was quite the experience! This is a good place to fund edible mushrooms. I have found lobsters, golden chanterelle, morels, honey, and many more. The moisture from the lake helps germinate the spores around the lake bed. There is two routes around the lake, a longer and a shorter version. The longer version is more scenic

This most awesome place go and beautiful round lake!!👍 Also, summer time bring Fans 120vac fan or portable 6v-12v fan(off grid).. Get HOT for July and August!! Allow fishing (required fishing license!) fees may require $$ from $7 living in Idaho, $14 out of state.. (Idaho Park Pass - Free entry!) Note: They just upgraded new look each camp sites! Believe or not! They are well taken care this camp/park site!

Hidden gem. Will return with my kayak for fishing. Great trails, dock access, beach, and covered area. Very well maintained and friendly personnel. Less crowded than nearby Farragut Park.

The campground is nice, with great showers and clean bathrooms. The beach area/docks is pretty small, with some weeds in the water, but once you get deep enough, the water is cleaner and fun to swim in. We were disappointed that out of state guests have to pay double what Idaho residents pay. Many campsites have sloping ground which is difficult for tenting. The lake is a good size for paddleboarding or kayaking.

Awesome little campground and lake. Easy to access but still secluded. Campground looks awesome for tent or car/van camping, it looks a little tight for anything much bigger than that. Lake is easy to access with about 10-15 parking spots available. It was frozen over when I went 12/31 and there were 4 people out ice fishing. I hiked the trail around the lake and it was easy to follow and snow packed the whole way.

Spent most of two summers there in 1963-1964. I was mapping the area for a dissertation project. A beautiful place to live under canvas, bathe in the stream, cooking on a Coleman stove, etc. I'm certain it is much more "civilized" now, but its natural beauty is the same. It is a glacial kettle lake; nearby Priest Lake gorgeous....

ADVRider. What a great time! Upon entrance to the park I contacted the seasonal employees in the office. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the sites and area. I was given a map to my site and easily found it. It was clean, level, moderately landscaped and easily accommodated my camping setup. The facilities were clean and well stocked. I observed the same seasonal employees frequently coming around and cleaning/emptying the refuse cans. I used a Rooftop Tent this time out and there was plenty of room! What an enjoyable weekend!

Not a bad location. Hard to sleep with all the train horns and road traffic a few feet away from you. Great to stay for the day only in my opinion. Further out into the forest like gold Creek Lodge you will have more peaceful nights and mornings.

Best State Park in Idaho. Fishing is usually good. Great family friendly park. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We have camped here every year since the late 1980's and always loved it. Please don't come based on this review 😊 It is getting to hard to find dates at one of our favorite campgrounds.
