Good location near freeway but far enough to be fairly quiet and yet within close distance to town. Site was surprisingly level given the hilly terrain. I appreciate them being part of Passport America. I happened to be in a site with a holding tank rather than a sewer. It did the trick, but let's just say I'm not a fan. 30 amp post tripped after about 25 amps so I had to treat it as a 20 amp site and could only run one appliance. No free wifi option at site--paid wifi only. I had a peaceful stay but would probably choose a different site with sewer and 50 amps next time.

My wife and I, along with some friends, decided on a last-minute two-day camping trip and found two available sites at Round Top Campground. Having never stayed here before, we figured we’d give it a shot. Big mistake. Most, if not all, of the sites are on a hill — making setup tricky, especially if you’re not experienced backing into uneven terrain. Our site’s water pump/handle was broken, and we had to call for maintenance. Thankfully, someone came about 30 minutes later to fix it, but it set the tone for the stay. The entire campground feels severely neglected. Nearly all sites sit under old, rotting trees, which makes it feel unsafe — I was genuinely concerned about branches falling on our rig. On top of that, the sites are far from level, so getting your camper or RV properly stabilized is a real challenge. We’ve been camping for several years and traveled up and down the East Coast, and this is by far our least favorite campground. Even one of the maintenance workers admitted the place hasn’t been cared for in years. We definitely won’t be coming back.

The location of Round Top Campground is easy to reach off Hwy 15 and it is a large campground. We requested a pull through when we made reservations but we were not told we would be right next to Hwy15 with LOUD noise the entire time of our stay! It was horrible. When we were checking in the lady even stated “you have one of our nicest sites.” Oh my gosh, I cant imagine what the other sites must be like. Definitely not worth the $80+ a night!! No WiFi either unless you pay extra. As you can see in the map picture how close our site is to the Highway.

We came into our reservation with friends after making the reservations 6 months ago. When we arrived we found out that they put us blocks apart from each other. We asked to get spots together and were told that they were full through the weekend. We stayed there Tuesday- Thursday not on the weekend. Our friends spot was horrific. No table, no fire pit, on a hill and the electric box and water looked shady. Not safe. The spot number was not visible so they drove circles trying to find this terrible spot. After annoying the office lady because they asked for a new spot, they were moved to s little better spot by us. Our spot was down a hill and not easy to unhook or hook our 5th wheel. There was a bathroom by us and the doors were locked. Unable to use! We walked around the park and found 30 plus spots that were sitting open. These were much better spots and yet they put us on the worst spots in the campground! We do not recommend this place as they do not care about people that pay $86 a night to stay there. We have been traveling for 3 weeks across the states and this is the first time we had a terrible experience. There is nothing positive to say about Roundtop Campground!

Roundtop Campground in Gettysburg Pennsylvania. This is what Thousand Trails calls an Encore Resort. The campground is located just minutes from the Gettysburg Battlefield and minutes from the Maryland Border. This is a very well maintained campground. The staff is out all day everyday making this place great for its guests. Bathhouses are clean and in good shape. The laundry facility is really great (although small with only 4 washers and dryers). It's clean, the machines are in good working order and payment has 3 options (coin, app or card). The camp store, pool and mini golf are all nice. The campsites themselves are close together. The campground is built on a hill so leveling your camper will need to be done. Most sites have a "leveled" area in them. All hook ups work although the water pressure could be better. Most sites are wooded and have a nice feel to them. Getting to the campground is easy as it is just off of the highway (unfortunately you can hear that highway in many of the sites). The staff is friendly and helpful. The roads are paved and in excellent shape. When entering watch for the sign and enter there, the other spot you can enter is very close to the office but has a big dip that lower rigs could bottom out on. This is probably one of the nicer campgrounds we have visited. We would definitely visit the campground again but unfortunately there isn't much to do in the area outside of the battlefield. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants in the area. We found that the area is a bit more expensive than other areas we have visited. Overall we give this campground a big thumbs up.

I camped at Roundtop campground about 5 yrs ago and it was a great experience.This past week I drove through there thinking about going again and was very disappointed. I understand that they are cleaning up and getting ready for the up coming season, however the appearance of the area has detiorated dramatically. Looking at the trees in the campground and surrounding mobile home community there are many of them dead or dieing and not being taken care of as you can tell by the amount of dead wood in them. Many of them are silver maples as i remember and being a retired forest ranger I know that they are very prone to desiese many of them appear to have large branches that could fall on campers and homes in the surrounding area causing major damage. I would be afraid to camp there as it has become a hazard to people and property. I would NOT recommend it to anyone

Nice campground, seasonal dominance. Friendly clean with online check-in . By a busy highway, but noise was not a issue. Wide roads was a (+) but our site was flooded muddy and not level. Very impressed with Text updates with activities Throughout our stay. Great location near everything, And great rates. A+

This place is great. Cabin we had was clean and got to sleep in a bunkbed, something I haven't done since I was a kid. Bed was comfortable. Good chance to spend time with my brothers. We sat around, played a game, drank some coffee and general BS. Would definitely recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised after reading some other reviews. We had a spacious back in site on the Devil's Den loop (we have a hybrid camper that opens to 30 feet, only requires 30 amp. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was really nice. The text messages regarding the activities were also helpful. We are scheduled to go again in October.

Poor Paid for W,E,S, and cable 8 days Received A poorly maintained, unlevel site No cable wifi if you paid for it Power went out 3 times, once for over 24 hrs. In 100° weather. Sewer consisted of a stinky storage tank Pool was down for a couple days Complained and was offered a site with no picnic table and not large enough to extend our slideout. And no offer for a refund for amenities paid for but not recicieved. Would not recommend Date of stay: June 25 - July 3 2021

Beautiful, clean and family friendly campground! We went for Fourth of July Weekend and will definitely go back. Beautiful pool, cute mini golf, and nice basketball court. The playground could use some TLC but my children didn’t mind. The main bathroom has three bathrooms and shower stalls. They have a handicap bathroom and shower as well. The main bathroom was extremely clean! The additional bathrooms could use an upgrade. There were many activities throughout the weekend for children and adults. All activities were free or well priced! All staff were kind and eager to assist in anyway possible!

Traveling to historic Gettysburg National Military Park There are several RV campgrounds in and around Gettysburg. Located on the actual battlefield grounds and only minutes from historic downtown Gettysburg, the National Park and visitors center. The campground itself is very unique as it has three distinct areas - a mobile home park, a very large section for year rounds/seasonals and the vacationers. The campground has all amenities, is clean and well functioning. Certain campsites could be challenging to access depending on your type of RV. The price is on the higher side during peak season. Our stay was pleasant as we were placed by the seasonals. We had a large flat site with room for a chase vehicle. I-15 is close by - but we got used to the noise.
