Overview

The Meadows RV Park offers a unique opportunity to stay right in the heart of the world-class mountain town of Steamboat Springs. As a seasonal destination primarily serving summer and autumn visitors, this park provides a convenient home base for those who want to be close to the action. It captures the authentic mountain lifestyle while offering the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay in Routt County, ensuring that every guest can enjoy the crisp alpine air. This location is designed for those who want to experience the rugged beauty of Colorado without sacrificing the convenience of proximity to town services.

Location & Surroundings

Situated near the base of the ski area, the park is surrounded by the stunning peaks of the Park Range. One of the most significant advantages of this location is its proximity to the free city bus line, allowing travelers to explore the charming downtown area without unhooking their rig. The area feels tucked away in a high-altitude valley yet remains remarkably accessible to the Yampa River Valley and its many scenic vistas. Guests are often treated to views of emerald-green slopes in the summer and golden aspen groves as the seasons change.

Amenities & Park Features

The park focuses on providing essential services that allow for a seamless mountain stay. Guests can expect full hookups including water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electricity to keep their systems running smoothly. The sites are generally level and gravel-based, designed to accommodate a variety of rig sizes. On-site facilities typically include restrooms and laundry, which are vital for active travelers returning from a day of dusty hiking or biking in the rugged surrounding wilderness. These functional amenities ensure that your focus remains on the outdoor adventures waiting just outside your door.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the immediate resort area, visitors are just a short drive from the famous and relaxing Strawberry Park Hot Springs, known for its natural stone-walled soaking pools. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy tubing or fly-fishing on the Yampa River, or exploring the extensive trail networks of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests. During the warmer months, the mountain transforms into a playground for downhill mountain biking, scenic gondola rides, and local festivals that celebrate the spirit of the West. There is never a shortage of high-altitude activities to fill your itinerary.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is ideal for active explorers who view their RV as a mobile base camp rather than a secluded, resort-style retreat. Whether you are a dedicated mountain biker, a hiker, or a fan of Western heritage, this park places you exactly where you need to be for an unforgettable Colorado adventure. Clean. Comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked as far as utensils, dishes, and appliances were concerned.

Spent Christmas here and I can say this is by no means a luxury place. Cambridge III, I’m specifically talking about you! But the whole building seems old and not well taken care of, with a very unpleasant smell in the elevator and common areas. Not to mention parking, which is a nightmare as there’s not enough spots even if you rent there!!! You have to pull an old tennis ball to be able to get out of the garage, there’s not even sensors! Our Cambridge III apartment was not clean nor nice. To give an idea of how much they don’t care, the tv was a 30” something TLC (the cheapest brand). The towels were like sand paper, the host was really stressing not taking these towels to the pool, like really? They suck. But I get Justin’s standards were low when he told us the condo has “high-end” shower gel and shampoos and we found Dove products in the shower lol. But probably the worse part was the host himself. I normally refrain from leaving bad reviews unless it is deserved as in this case. He is rude, unfriendly, and not accommodating. One of the guests had a service animal, which is not a pet by law. He tried to illegally charge us $350 extra for having a pet after we left for our service dog, but luckily Airbnb was on our side. Anyways, steamboat is great but don’t stay here!!

First come, first serve is awesome! What a perfect spot for retiring to after a hike to the Rabbit Ears. So many flowers. The camp was large and open, but enough trees for shade. There was certainly some road noise, but we feel very lucky to have been able to stay here.

Clarion 2 is a wonderful unit. The complex is great with heated garages and a nice pool, spa, and fire pit located between the buildings. View is partially obscured but basically every condo in steamboat is in the same situation. This complex is easy to get in and out of and is located close enough to the highway to make it possible to get to Steamboat Springs quickly. COVID precautions were in effect and time in the spa was slotted to 45 minutes with 15 minutes between families used for cleaning. Friendly staff and no maintenance issues at all.
