We are looking forward to spending our 1st winter at RC in 2025. I visited the office a few times this year and Wally was always helpful and professional. I observed other employees dealing with guests and they were very positive encounters. Thanks for help Wally. Update…Stayed 12/24—04/25 had a great time with all the activities and bike riding everywhere, Girls in the office were very nice and made sure our dogs had a snack when passing by. Jake is already missing Kathy his favorite. Will be back 11/25—04/26. To Corporate: take it easy on the $$ hikes .
Love you Florida
I lived here both during winter season and off season. Here is my honest review and read it carefully. My info is both unbiased and detailed. I would not recommend renting a model during off season (May through October). So many reasons. First, its getting completely deserted and no activities and entertainment. The pool will be crowded by transients such as mom with kids jumping all over the place (unlike snowbirds during winter time who are very calm and respectful). Second, the models are very old and those plastic windows in the lanai will make you feel like in sauna. Third, if you rent it from the Venmo or Airbnb then most likely the pictures/furniture will be heavily edited like in my case. The truth is that the owners pay a huge lot fee so they can rarely afford to invest in some good furniture. Very importantly, many units were flood damaged from 2022 - 2024 hurricanes so mold is almost always an issue. Even you are not allergic, you still going to have headaches, poor sleep and other health issues. Finally, due to Dona Bay, the flying bugs will turn your life in a complete hell. After all, there is a good reasons why locals leave this area and head back to north. In the winter though this place a truly great, with a lots of fun activities going on and the resort becomes a great place to stay.

A girl named Amy in the office was willing to run to our campsite and check on my door because I was worried my little dog got out . I appreciate her. It was a rainy cold day and she offered to help me . Thanks Amy!

This RV Resort is top notch! The staff is awesome! The maintenance guy Donnie is the best and goes above and beyond! The activities and events are over the top! If you’re looking for a great place for a weekend or the season, this is it!

We came to Royal Coachman because it had 4 tennis courts. Even though 4 equal pickleball courts were built they are now converting 2 to be dual tennis/pickleball courts. They need to officially change their amenities as a converted tennis court with pickleball nets on the court is horrible. Would NOT recommend if you are a tennis player especially when you add on the high rent.

What a wonderful example of what a 5 star RV resort should be. Large spacious sites, large pool with all the right touchiest, activates room, waterfront access for kayaks, and kayak rental and large clean restrooms. Nearby you will find beaches, restaurants, and shopping as well as a host of other activates. The only down side is Encore as part of Thousand Trails, Trails collection membership is not sold into the membership they are selling. Like many other Encore resorts, over 50% of this park is occupied by yearlong leases... This particular park has over 50% occupied by park models, and then the remaining RV lots many of them are leased on renewing 6 month leases leaving only about 20-30% for Thousand Trails plus Encore members to book. Which is why this is the first time in three years, I’ve been able to get a reservation here.

Royal Coachmen RV is one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed in. They have all kinds of activities, kayaking, fishing, an awesome swimming pool, tennis, shuffle board, horseshoe all off the beaten path in a secure environment. So peaceful.

We stayed here four nights in Jan, 2022 in a 30' Class C. Big place with a lot of people, mostly long term or perm with hundreds of "park model" homes. Really a retirement community not an RV resort. Very well kept grounds, very active community. Lots of people playing sports, riding bikes, etc. but still quiet. The architect built around the trees which gives the place a great feel. The staff was great! The bathhouse needs a good cleaning. It was usable, we have seen some that were not, but a good bleaching of the showers is needed. Easy access to Nokomis Beach and Historic Spanish Point. We would stay here again.

Will stay again. Great amenities. Our 6 year old loved it.
